About this listen

Freedom never tasted so bitter.

This is the final instalment in the Darkmore Penitentiary series.

Full blurb coming soon!

This series is set in the world of Solaria five years after Zodiac Academy and ten years after Dark Fae and book one was previously published as Darkmore Penitentiary. There is some character crossover but all series can be listened to independent of each other without spoilers. The female lead will end up with more than one love interest.

Happy endings 🩷

I am so thankful for the happy ending. I don’t know if I could take anymore heartbreak after reading Zodiac Academy. I am also so happy that Rosalie didn’t have to choose between her men. The moon simply gave them all to her!

Amazing story!

Loved the series! nice wrap up. Only thing is I would have loved to hear more of Cain at the end. But I will miss the whole Solaria gang 😢

I love the narrators

I truly enjoy all books narrated by briget and jake bordeaux however, her accent in this book was not one of her best. For me, it took a bit away from the story. caroline peckham and susana valenti are amazing authority and I truly love this series. I don't think I did an audible of the other books bc I really didn't ever imagine dantes voice or rosales with a faetalian accent. maybe a tiny bit of one but since they weren't raised in "Faetalia" or "Faetaly" whatever the equivalent of Italy is in solaria I didn't expect them to have accents and rosaries voice while husky just didn't work for me personally. other than that 5+ stars, chefs kiss.

Perfection

I am sad that it is over, and I am happy with how it ended. You get everything and more and it was well worth the wait! The audio was phenomenal and loved everything about it. From the different voices, tones, and playfulness it really did this story justice. They transformed this story into something special.

A morte e ritorno !

I will miss them all. The cries, yelling if frustration, the love, the lust. THE BANTER. These series have made me feel it all, and brought me so much entertainment.

Justice.

This was so worth the wait. All the suffering and raw emotions I felt towards these characters and it ending in the most perfect way. Ugh…my heart swells with joy and adoration. Thank you for doing this series justice. The entire realm of Solaria is just beautiful. Way to go, Sisters!

"This world hadn't offered me a place when I was born but I had carved out one for myself regardless."

I cant believe Darkmore Penitentiary and Solaria world has come to an end. These sisters have pulled me out of the deepest depression. They have allowed me to escape my mind and I am forever grateful for that! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

"And I knew, no matter where any of my pack went in this world, if they were ever lost, they could always hear the howl of the Oscura Wolves and find their way back home."

This was the absolute perfect ending to this world! We needed the closure, we needed the lose ends tied up and the sisters have done that!

And let’s not forget about the Bordeaux’ they did amazing at Narrating these books and brought the story to life.

So glad this last book came out

It was so nice hearing their story come to an end. I was devastated at the end of book 3 but I’m so glad it worked out in book 4. I love when these authors write together. Such good stuff! I love the narrators too. So much talent.

What an ending!

(Don’t read if you haven’t read this series, RBOTHZ or ZA)
I absolutely love Rosalie. This series has been a long time coming considering meeting her as a preteen in the Ruthless Boys series. Roary also, how young and confident and sexy he was, to being caught and ending up in Darkmore when he could’ve left Rosalie. This series was straight to the point and my girl wanted to be in and out of there. The only complaints I have are so missed opportunities I feel the authors could’ve maximized on. For example, Ethan not having a one on one with Carson (Ryder), even a simple scene of C/R saying to Ethan “told you” in terms of the conversation they had about finding true love. Second, Elise— I’ve said this in ZA reviews too that she is never mentioned by name and it’s a bit disappointing. Third, as soon as they said Sin had two forms of magic and they wonder who his parents are I JUST KNEEWWWW he was T. Rigel’s son and Max’s brother. I wish they would’ve tapped into that a bit more, he lost so much for so long and they had an opportunity to expand on that. In addition to number 3, when Sin and Max got taken, when Ethan came back to find the others it could’ve been the perfect opportunity for Caleb (Hornrider) and the “long haired wolf howling man (Seth) to overhear and go with them to save the brothers. Man I would’ve been screaming my lungs out of that happened. Last, an Orion and Cain reunion, even if it was brief. But overall, beautiful story. Another one my favs by the twisted sisters and i’m so sad to see it end.

So long Solaria

As always, Jake and Bridget did such an incredible job with the narration.

This one was not my fave in the series. There were some highs and lows. Solaria will always have a piece of my heart.
