Pay attention

The first time I got to chapter 7 and gave up. Listened to several other books and then decided to give it another go from the beginning. Knowing I had to give this one my full attention because there are so many characters. I am so glad I did! It was very rewarding and now I feel that I will miss the the people in this book. They quickly became like friends. And the narration is fantastic!

How nice to listen to a book without having to cringe because of the use of unappreciated language. The story was interesting and I enjoyed learning to know the people.

This story could very well have taken place where I live. I’m not sure where a come down on the issue, as I have very mixed feelings on the subject! But if nothing else the story gave me a different perspective.

The story resonates with those of us who have lived long and loved fiercely. The narrator was a wonderful pairing for the story. I may listen again!
