Vow of Justice

Another good addition to the series. I knew the why of the mystery from the very beginning so no twists or turns for me. It did end on a kind of cliffhanger which was annoying. I’m not the biggest fan of all the drama with the ex-husband. That ruins a little enjoyment from the book as it’s just annoying. I think a comment I’ve made over the last couple of books. The narrator is enjoyable so I’ll pick up audiobooks in the future.

Awesome Series

I have listened all of these except the last one in a very short period of time because I can’t stop! This one may be my favorite. I love how the books carry on with some of the drama with the main character characters from one book to the next. It can be hard to read murder descriptions, but so intriguing as to how things will work out in the name of justice. The narrator is absolutely perfect for these books. I love how she changes her voice just enough to clearly distinguish each character! Highly recommend. Now I’m getting ready to start the last one and I will be so sad. I hope Robin James continues with this series.

Read reviewers sentiments. This author is not for me even if she did continue. Two repetitious I don’t wanna hear someone’s name 10 times a chapter. OK, I’m exaggerating, but not too far off. The premise is good, the outline is good, the delivery is good, but needs better editing to be in the league of Michael Connolly. Because he was a newspaper reporter he knows how to do that himself. Make no mistake. Writing is very tough. But Nora Roberts now has 60 books in her JD series, that tells you what an author must know.
Some people said that a couple of these books ended in a cliffhanger, as far as I am concerned these are not cliffhanger. They just end with the beginning of the next story and some people think that’s a cliffhanger and maybe that is. But it’s just a continuing saga as far as I’m concerned and it doesn’t bother me. It’s interesting as the author has shifted her outline of characters, and their personalities,. It’s almost as if she reads the fan reviews and then shifts the next book. But I have no idea.

Good story line

Seriously, you end it with a cliffhanger! That’s just mean! I loved the storyline, but seriously???
