The aces of the New Republic have one final chance to defeat the darkness of Shadow Wing in this thrilling conclusion to the Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron trilogy!

In the wake of Yrica Quell’s shocking decision - and one of the fiercest battles of their lives - the remnants of Alphabet Squadron seek answers and closure across a galaxy whose old war scars are threatening to reopen.

Soran Keize has returned to the tip of Shadow Wing’s spear. Operation Cinder, the terrifying protocol of planetary extermination that began in the twilight of the Imperial era, burns throughout the galaxy. Shadow Wing is no longer wounded prey fleeing the hunters of the New Republic. With its leader, its strength has returned, and its Star Destroyers and TIE squadrons lurk in the darkness between stars, carrying out the fallen Emperor’s final edict of destruction - as well as another, stranger mission, one Keize has championed not for the dying Empire, but for its loyal soldiers.

Alphabet Squadron’s ships are as ramshackle and damaged as their spirits, but they’ve always had one another. Now, as they face the might of Keize’s reborn juggernaut, they aren’t sure they even have that. How do you catch a shadow? How do you kill it? And when you’re finally victorious, who pays the price?

I have to say alphabet squadron has been one of my favorite trilogies of the new Canon.

Couldn’t think of a more perfect conclusion to this trilogy. It feels self contained but also adds to the world building in unique ways. The character work is also really well done and their arcs are super satisfying

Amazing

After listening to both this series’ prior entries (not comics, need to read em still) (Shadow Fall was definitely the worst of them, I’m sorry to the narrator of that book she got so much flak) this book was really good. Character arcs ended well, story was engaging, a solid reminder of how hellish war is. Ending was solid, the final little twist is something I saw from miles away but it honestly didn’t feel too forced. Overall, a good book in my opinion, it ranks probably top 3 of the Disney books I’ve read/listened to, worst top 4 simply because the Thrawn Series is so damn good. Feels wise only Lost Stars is the only good comparison.

Probably one of the better Disney Era Books

I enjoyed this series from start to end. The writing of most the characters made them feel more down to earth and alive. When they got angry or sad it was justified, When they got confused or couldn't understand their own feelings it was easy for us to see the conflict., A few times you aren't sure if one of the characters you have grown to enjoy is going to set themselves on a terrible path or find their route again. it all culminates to, If not a bittersweet ending than a more emotional one for most of them. If you like a book that's willing to show the more desperate side of war in the star wars galaxy and the struggle for everyday people to weigh the decision of what's right between what's needed to be done I would highly recommend this series.

A wonderful story with a somber end.

Huge fan of these books. This is more of a review of all 3, but I think this was my favorite. I felt that the story lines and characters were constantly moving forward and developing throughout the trilogy, and everything came together very nicely in Victory’s Price. I personally don’t come to Star Wars for the force and have found that I usually prefer non-skywalker content. If you’re in the same boat, I couldn’t recommend these books more. They explore some themes and ideas that feel more geared towards adults than a lot of other Star Wars materials. Very thoughtfully written. I’d say I wish there were more books so we could spend more time with the characters, but I think the author really nailed it with the pacing and bringing arcs to a resolution.

Great Trilogy

Despite the Quell heavy plot, the trilogy wraps up well. The voice actress is much better in this part than the first two.

Better

the story in this was far more captivating than the previous 2 entries but it just couldn't stand up the the aftermath series. I really wish they had some characters from aftermath mingle in or interact with the characters in this series. I also feel like the relationship at the very end was tacked on even if it was somewhat foreboding. all in all I just hope that some of these characters from both the aftermath series and this series are realized in the live action star wars shows or movies at some point, he'll I'll even take a cameo from an animated series I just want to see them on screen.

The most interesting book out of the 3

So happy January Lavoy read this book! Sad but fulfilling conclusion to this trilogy. A series I am sure to revisit.

Conclusion to the Alphabet Squadron Trilogy.

All three books feature plenty of big space battles, attacks on Imperial planets, betrayal, double jeopardy, double-crosses and so on.
It also features Hera Syndulla from Star Wars Rebels and Ahsoka as a Rebel (now New Republic General).

The story spans the years after The Battle Of Endor and features plenty of pilots, spies and gives you a good insight into the command structure of both opposing factions.

It can be a bit overwhelming to keep track of who is who.

I liked the subject, it deals with the reality of war and its aftermath from regular soldiers point of view
