About this listen

If humans want to take the Earth back, they'll need to survive the night.

The Savage Earth, Book 1:

It's been over a century since the humans lost the war for Earth. Cities have been reclaimed by nature, and the planet is quiet and empty by day. At night, feral vampires - more beast than man - roam the lands, hungry for blood. The few thousand surviving humans live on a massive airship that circles the Earth, moving with the rotation of the planet so it's always in sunlight.

Alexandria Goddard is a member of the elite Ground Mission Team, a group tasked with making dangerous runs to the planet's surface for the supplies needed to keep the ship airborne. But even as the team fights for their people's survival, dangerous forces are working against them. A growing movement aboard the airship believes it's time for humans to resettle the Earth, and they are willing to go to extreme measures to make their vision a reality. As the situation aboard the ship becomes more desperate, Alex and her team discover a terrifying secret about the vampires infesting the Earth.

The Savage Night, Book 2:

Night is coming for Alex. Danger from the vampires below. Turmoil in the city above. Nowhere is safe and every day is a battle.

As Alex struggles to become the leader her team needs, she must contend with new allies and old enemies to have any chance of saving the city she loves. Nothing the Ground Mission Team has faced so far can prepare them for what's next. But if their mission is successful, the world will change forever.

AMAZING Mixture of "Hell Divers" and "Underworld"

I loved these two books and I'm praying that Audible releases the rest of the series.

The narration was good, Therese Plummer was a great voice for Alex although it was a little weird hearing her voices for the men you get used to it fairly quickly.

It's an awesome plot and I'm amazed at the authors' ability to come up with such an idea. The feral's ability to come back to human form was great and made the story so much more interesting when it comes to the moral and ethical episodes of the story. Speaking of morality the politics are not boring like in most books,

Fleming plays a very believable villain and C.B. and Alex are amazing heroes. Everybody rate this book FIVE STARS as we need to get the rest transferred to audio!!!

At first I was skeptical it was a dry start to build up the characters but woah I am thoroughly impressed and I absolutely loved everything about book 1 and book 2!!!

HOPEFULLY this will become movie series!!!

FINALLY a good one. Unique vampire plot. Asshole humans, hero humans, believable, imperfect well developmented characters. There's twists & turns, action but not mindless shooting & explosions. A teensy tiny pinch of romance, enough to make you care about the characters & motivation, but not overboard with it...this isn't Twilight. OUTSTANDING NARRATOR. I really hope this will be made into a movie series. Gonna start book 3...must know what happens next.

WOW❗ DON'T HESITATE ‼️

This is NOT your average vampire story!🦇
If you like a good space adventure with a splash of post apocalyptic fear, a dash of warfare and a bit of thrill, this book is for you.
The narrative is fantastic. No weird cringey mouth noises or breathing.
I enjoyed it so much that I didn't hesitate to get the whole series!

New Haven, the prison, and Norad!

Lieutenant Alexandria Goddard (Alex) was a soldier in the New Haven Law Enforcement Ground Mission Team (GMT). New Haven, was a massive airship that flew 25,162 feet above sea level, at 402 mph, with a population of 40,000, and was the last human city on earth. GMT’s commanding officer, Captain Arnold Brickman (CB), and his commander, General Isaiah Craig wanted funding for R&D on a jet pack for their soldiers. They invited Councilman Flemming to a demonstration of the jet pack that Alex would operate. Surprisingly, Flemming also brought Councilman Sterns. Alex, disobeying orders, flew the jet pack out of the hangar and up into the sky performing several maneuvers. Her performance gained funding but also a ripped new one from the General. 150 years ago, which places this event around the 21st century, an infestation or virus decimated the population of earth into vampires. The only survivors escaped by building New Haven. Thus begins the saga of Vampire World. My first impression of Alex is naïve and reckless, having no business being an officer. Her superiors should reduce her to sergeant and send her back to training. Firefly is an idiot and Drew was close behind. Some of the author’s conceptions about vampires go against most of the paranormal books I’ve read. I realize this is fiction but some things are just way off common perceptions. Like killing them with silver bullets to the chest; the wrong species, and the belief that vampires were stupid beasts. An interesting idea was using artificial daylight floodlights to burn them. Thankfully, the team got better at fighting as time went on. The last issue in book 1 was to find repair parts to prevent New Haven from having to land. Goodreads did not have the Publisher’s Pack Books 1-2, so I had to use the single Books 1 & 2 for bookmarks. Three.point.five.

At the conclusion of Book 1, the team from New Haven had to make another dangerous surface mission to Norad in El Paso County, Colorado to find the control board they needed to repair New Haven’s reactor. Gaining access to Norad they discovered incognito vampires, led by Jadon, along with surviving humans inside the facility. Back on New Haven, an obvious rescue mission was being formed by the still-injured CB and recruits. Well, the story expands its vampire types, like good vs. bad. The bloody fight, pro vs con for the reclamation of the earth continues. Ground missions and New Haven were always looking for spare parts. The facility to begin reclamation had been chosen by Flemming. It was up to GMT to clear it. The second new twist in the story is Norad. Goodreads did not have the Publisher’s Pack Books 1-2, so I had to use the single Books 1 & 2 for bookmarks.
