Publisher's summary

After a Navy pilot inexplicably loses control of his stealth fighter, he stumbles upon a global conspiracy, and embarks on a thrilling chase filled with espionage and betrayal.

“A high-octane and adrenaline-powered thriller… Strap in and hold on!”–Jack Carr, Former Navy SEAL sniper and #1 New York Times bestselling author of the James Reece Terminal List series

TOP GUN instructor Colt Bancroft has just catapulted off the USS Abraham Lincoln, his F-35C Joint Strike Fighter trailing blue and yellow flame as he climbs into the night sky off the California coast.

When he is sent to investigate a series of mysterious lights floating dangerously close to his aircraft carrier, disaster strikes. His jet becomes unresponsive as it rolls inverted and enters a nosedive aimed right at the aircraft carrier’s unsuspecting escort cruiser…

What follows is a tale of heroism and betrayal, spycraft and suspense, and aerial combat against an unexpected adversary.

To clear his name and unmask a traitor, Colt must survive a dangerous game of spy-vs-spy, where trusting the wrong person could cost him his life. To stop the enemy from hitting their ultimate target, Colt must use every ounce of his skill and training…and uncover the identity of the UNKNOWN RIDER.

From author Jack Stewart, a former US Navy Top Gun instructor pilot, comes an exhilarating military thriller that’s packed with high-octane action and puts the listener behind the controls of a modern jet fighter. Perfect for fans of Tom Clancy and Dale Brown.

Making the unbelievable believable.

Well laid out story, with good characters. Some white knuckle moments where I felt like I was in the cockpit of a JSF!

Phenomenal Near-Future Military Thriller

Enjoyed “Unknown Rider” so much and finished it in two days. It is a significantly better book than both 2034 and Ghost Fleet (with better characters as well). Heard about it from the “afterburn” podcast and glad I took a chance on it. The author gets military aviation details correct without getting bogged down in jargon. Ray Porter’s narration was phenomenal as well. Excited for the next book in the series!

It's a good listen thanks to Ray Porter.

A pattern spy story, it's been written about before. Very typical, okay but you've heard it before.

Hold On tight

When Jack Carr tells me to read a book, I listen. This is the first time I’ve read anything from this author and I’m glad I did. I’ll be reading the entire series. And Ray Porter?! He’s phenomenal- as usual!!

What a brilliant debut.

For the love of flying. Unknown Rider gets my vote for best book of 2023. It’s espionage, aviation & the navy entwined in a masterful thriller. Well written & wonderfully narrated by Ray Porter. It’s perfect 👏👏

Fun Ride

Excellent performance, good story, a bit predictable and I did enjoy the characters. I am interested to see what they will do in book 2.

New author FTW

This was an awesome find. The character development, story progression and amazing details put this right up on my “shelf” with Jack Carr and Tom Clancy.
