About this listen

One crazy dog - one awkward vet - one naked pool guy - and one life-changing month in California to make friends, fall in love, and twist fate.

Who gets paid to walk a dog and recline by the pool all day? Sydney Montgomery, aspiring museum curator and professional house-sitter, that's who.

When her aunt and uncle need a house and dog sitter for 30 days in Palo Alto, Sydney can't turn down the chance to be closer to her sister in L.A. Within 24 hours of her arrival, Sydney's cleaning up runny dog poo, taking an uncooperative pooch to a handsome yet awkward vet, and being rescued from the bottom of the pool by a naked "pool guy."

Lautner, "pool guy," has a hot body and a cool persona. With eyes of iridescent blue oceans, he is mesmerizing, sexy, and addictive. What he is not - the pool guy.

Dr. Lautner Sullivan is a college wide receiver turned pediatric resident. He knows how to woo a woman with flowers, pastries, and sweet tea. Lautner is every girl's dream, but Sydney is not every girl. She's immune to rainbows, fairytales, pixy dust, and the "L" word.

The attraction is immediate, the friendship is earned, and the love is undeniable. Thirty days is their forever, but forever is not long enough.

Fun Star's

I can’t choose I am in between stars I really enjoyed the first half of the story so so much it had so much awesomeness going for it. I even wrote a note saying; I loved the funny feel good vibe of this book. So for me it was a great listen. I loved the narrations for sure brought this story to life.

I loved that Sydney was getting a chance to see the world. She meets handsome Vet Dane, and they hit it off. Then sexy ‘pool boy’ comes in to play and that was fun and funny all at the same time.

Getting to watch how the 3 of them worked was fun. You kind of get the gist of who she is falling for and wow it was hot! I loved the sand turd part. I am not a surfer but I am sure that’s pretty common.

Blue Irises – I loved that saying in this book.

The story kind of jumps from the past, to present ad then back again. And yeah I was a little confused but in a good way. Then the story kind of goes downhill for me only because of where it was leading. I am not a fan of liking a character only to be lead to not like that character by choices or personal preferences. I don’t know it just didn't fit kind of made Sydney caddy t me.

All that being said I melted at the end of this book Dr. Lautner aka ‘pool boy’ did turn out to be a wonderful man and even if I didn't like the way parts of the story went I still enjoyed the dynamic between all of the characters in this book.

Undeniably You is a must read!

Undeniably You is the first book that I have read by author Jewel E. Ann and listened to by Tracy Marks. I absolutely loved this story. It's funny, romantic, steamy, and heart wrenching. I actually cried! I will be looking into more books by this author.
The story was narrated by Tracy Marks. She did a fantastic job with the voices, pacing and enunciation. I will look for Tracy reading more books up my alley!

Kept me up all night

--I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
At first, I thought this book was going to be the same old romance...boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back. Totally off I was. This was an extremely entertaining, funny, loving, hot, plot twist type of book. Lautner is the guy you want to end up with, what is the matter with Sydney? Dane I was not fond of from the start, something about his sweetness just rubbed me the wrong way. Loved Avery and her craziness(except with Kade, what a jerk) and Swirlie...my favorite character. All these made up a book that kept me awake to finish it...I couldn't wait to see how it would end.

I do blame Tracy Marks for my insomnia. Her narration was that good. It kept me interested in wanting to know the result of the decisions made. Thanks for that! It just shows how a great performance along with good material can keep you totally entertained for 12 hours!

Full of twists I wasn't expecting!

Any additional comments?

4.5 stars!

First, I just want to mention that I like to go into books completely blind. I rarely re-read the synopsis before beginning a book, so I didn’t even know the names of the main characters listed in the synopsis.

This book grabs you right from the prologue. It begins on Sydney’s wedding day, but it never mentions who the groom is. The book then switches to three years prior where we meet some important people in her life, including Lautner (“pool guy”) and Dane (Swarley’s vet). At first they both seemed to be good candidates for Sydney’s love interest. Of course, eventually, one stood out from the other.

I must say, this book was nothing like I expected. It was full of twist and turns and plenty of angst. I was often saying “wait, what?” to myself while listening to this book. I love a book that keeps me on my toes. I definitely recommend this book to others.

In regards to the narrator, I liked her. I didn’t love her, but I think she did a good job. I don’t listen to a lot of audio books, but I’ve listened to several, and after beginning this book I realized this is the first one I’ve listened to with a female narrator. It just took me a little bit to warm up to her. She has a pleasant voice, but perhaps a little too cheerful/up-beat. I’m not sure how to explain it. I would certainly listen to other books she has narrated in the future.

My review is for the Audible version which I received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Conflicted over this story

I liked some aspects of this story but found others over the top in believability. Yes, this if fiction but I prefer to listen and read stories that are believable unless I'm reading/listening fantasy or the like.
The narrator did a good job on voicing the characters so this is not a knock on her skills.

Summer love

Funny, sexy, and full of heartache. Sydney, is house sitting for her aunt before she's off to live her dream in Paris. She's very goal oriented and will not allow anything or anyone to deviate her plans. Enter Lautner the charming doctor who turns her plans upside down. He is absolutely the best hero ever. Deteremined and loving, I actually was mad at Sydney for her choices on his behalf. Undeniably You shows us that life and love are never easy but the struggle is worth it in the end.

Heroine-3 stars, she's very immature at times and makes one very selfish decision that affects multiple people.

Hero-5 stars

Narrator- 4 stars , Tracy does a great job, even when doing the male voice.

Loved it!

What did you love best about Undeniably You?

The emotions was like a roller coaster, from funny to sad and in between so frustrating. It was predicable, but, I couldn't stop myself from listening. You won't be disappointed in the end.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Undeniably You?

When Lautner didn't want Sydney to leave him, boy, that entire scene was so sad. There was another seen, when Sydney sees Lautner at the park and he had his arms around his new girlfriend, I felt for Sydney the anxiety and hurt was so real.

Have you listened to any of Tracy Marks’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first time listening to Tracy, she is now on my favorite list.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it was perfect!

Any additional comments?

The book was very well written, I'm wondering if there is going to be a second book. I would like to know how things end with Sydney's sister and Lautner good friend. I would like to see Dr Dean find some one, it was so for him. Sorry, to be a spoiler alert.

Worth The Credit!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely would and already have recommended this book. It's a great book. The story pulls you in and doesn't let go for a minute. Once you start listening you don't want to stop.

What other book might you compare Undeniably You to and why?

I would compare this to Kristen Ashley's book "Play It Safe". The 2 books are completely different but have the same kind of time separation for the main characters. .

What about Tracy Marks’s performance did you like?

Tracy Marks did an amazing job narrating this book. A narrator can often ruin an otherwise great book. Every book that I have listened to that she narrates has been fantastic. Tracy Marks makes the characters come to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book drags you through the whole rollercoaster of emotions. All you can do is hold on and enjoy the ride. In the end you will glad you did.

Any additional comments?

I will definitely be listening to more of Jewel E. Ann's books as soon as they are available on audible.
