About this listen

Shape shifter Alec Graves has spent nearly a decade trying to keep his family from being drawn into open warfare with a larger pack. The new girl at school shouldn't matter, but the more he gets to know her, the more mysterious she becomes. Worse, she seems to know things she shouldn't about his shadowy world.

Is she an unfortunate victim or bait designed to draw him into a fatal misstep? If she's a victim, then he's running out of time to save her. If she's bait, then his attraction to her will pull him into a fight that'll cost him everything.

Great sequel

Would you listen to Torn again? Why?

Yes will listen to the two books from this author. Had problems figuring out they were two different books, as basically both fronts are almost the same.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Torn?

I don't have a special area that sticks out.

Have you listened to any of Clifton Satterfield’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Have listened to the companion book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

No idea.

Any additional comments?

Great, story keeps moving along.

Voices

The story is good. Clifton, the reader makes some of the voices irritating. I do wish the third book was on audio.

Total teenage indulgence

Very much a teenage indulgence book. Echos twilight but plays with perspective more. Not in love with the narrator but way better than the girls’ version. . Definitely a good “zone out book”. Prefer Alec’s perspective, much more action oriented.
