About this listen

The author who brought you the award-winning Grey Wolves and Elfin series now brings you a new series based on the human legend the Sandman. The truth of his nature is so much more than anyone could have ever imagined.

Since the dawn of time, Brudair, otherwise known as the Sandman to the world, has faithfully lived out his purpose, faithfully performed his duties. He has never questioned his lot among the immortals until now, until her. Sarah Serenity Tillman, a consummate beauty both inside and out, is a high school senior five months from her graduation. She has great plans, dreams of leaving the small town of her childhood behind her forever. But destiny has other plans, and it's the Sandman's job to make sure those plans are fulfilled.

The tall, muscular Sandman, known as Dair to his friends, dressed in black, wrapped in shadows, is more than a myth. And he has a job to do. His very existence makes him a creature of the night because dreams are indeed his specialty. But his purpose is more than just weaving dreams for sleeping children. No, his dreams are made to influence, made to ensure that certain special individuals, those individuals who would change the course of history, actually accept their chosen destiny.

Little does Serenity know that she is Dair's next assignment. And the dream that he weaves for her, if she follows its influence, will change the course of not only her life but possibly the whole of history as well. But she isn't the only one being influenced. The beauty inside of her is weighing on the Sandman, lighting up the darkness that is his constant companion. Her light is warmth, it is life, and he doesn't understand how he has survived the previous millennia without it.

Dreamy

This is twlight but with angels demons and a sandman with Edwards looks. It's well read and very good storyline. The end leaves you wanting more. I'm very hard to impress with reading performances I hate when there's a monotone reader and these two readers or narrators are very good! They do the accents and voices well they take u into the story. I recommend this book!!

I just love the characters and the quirkiness of lil Emma. Both girls in this story are who I strive to be.

enjoyable

I am glad that the story refers to the Creator as the God from the Bible even though it doesn't mention Jesus. The story about Emma and her struggles interested me more than the relationship between Daire and Serenity.

So good!

So good. So very, very good. I think this story has officially made it into my top ten. I loved every moment of it!
Sarah Serenity is a remarkable young lady whose heart is so big. She is put in a very unique situation meeting an exceptional child who needs her. And Serenity is most certainly up for the challenge. I loved that she was sweet, kind, and gentle, but that didn't mean she couldn't be tough. And then of course there are the matters of the heart, Dare. Wow! I loved Dare, and his absolute devotion and fascination with Serenity. He was so wise and amazing and yet so new to it all at the same time. I can't wait to read book 2.
Having listened to this story on audio, I really enjoyed having 2 narrators. I liked how the different points of view, divided by chapters, were read by 2 different narrators. The male point of view was the voice of Nicholas Dressel and the female point of view was the voice of Kendra Chell. They both did a really good job.

Wow! Epic!

This book was fantastic! It kept me on the edge of my seat! I loved the twist on the supernatural romance - loved that it dealt with the forces of good. Adored the words of wisdom spoken by Emma’s mama. Read it!

good storyline

this book flows nicely, has a good storyline, and characters were well formed.
some of it took me out of the story as it wasn't something that happens.
in areas it seems the author made things they wanted to include were just thrown in.
I would like to read an edited version.
