WALT LONGMIRE AND HENRY STANDING BEAR ARE BACK, AND IN THE TRADITION OF WAIT FOR SIGNS AND THE HIGHWAYMAN, THIS ACTION-PACKED NOVELLA SET IN THE ALASKA TUNDRA PUSHES OUR HEROES TO THEIR LIMITS AS THEY FACE POWERFUL ENEMIES WHO WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET WHAT THEY WANT

Tooth and Claw follows Walt and Henry up to Alaska as they look for work after they both return from serving in Vietnam. While working for an oil company in the bitter cold of winter, they soon encounter a ferocious polar bear that seems hell-bent on their destruction. But it’s not too long until they realize that the danger does not lurk outside in the frozen Alaskan tundra, but with their co-workers, who are after priceless treasure and will stop at nothing to get it.

Fans of Craig Johnson will thrill to this pulse-pounding and bone-chilling story of extreme adventure that adds another indelible chapter to the legend of Walt Longmire.

Yes, yes, yes

First, George Guidall is the perfect narrator for Craig Johnson's Walt Longmire.
That out of the way, I couldn't stop listening. I had some reservations going in because I found the previous prequel (or backstory novel) just OK, but this was superb. My only regret is in knowing that now there'll be a too-long wait for the next story.

Johnson is once again amazing!

Walt and all his adventures are always the stuff of legend but a ghost ship and an Artic God is an amazing meeting of which makes a great tale!

Great novella!

I love these glimpses into the shorter one-off adventures that Walt and Henry have had. Very cool arctic survival story.

Baby it's cold outside

Walt and Henry are off on another adventure. Things are not always what they seem. A good quick list to hold us until the next full Leo novel.

Despite being short, this is a worthy novella and an excellent story.

I always wish Longmire audio books were longer. The narrator is excellent and the writing is outstanding for this series taken as a whole. This book is novella length and is shorter than I would have hoped, but it made an excellent rainy morning listen. It also brought up history to research like so many Longmire books do for me. I didn’t quite find the supernatural component of this story to be near enough to The Highway Man to deserve the comparison in the description. Having said that, there are supernatural components to this story. I always enjoy those in Longmire books. I would recommend this book to any Longmire fan. If you pick up this book as your first in the series, enjoy this one for the novella that it is and then dive deep into the whole series.
