i’m a sucker for friends to lovers and omg these two!!! it was so sweet and hot and overall such a good listen. kinda wish that it wasn’t a standalone but also…. it’s perfect like that.

Perfect

This book broke my heart in slow motion, then put it back together again. I will remember Lucky and Ellis for the rest of my life. This book is one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read and I just wish I could have known them more. I would have read a thousand pages of their childhood memories and it never would have been enough. I love, love, love this book and I will never get over it.

Best Romance Ever

The relationship between Ellis and Lucky is by far the most heart wrenching, heartbreaking and purest love story I have ever read. It pulled me in to the point that when I had to run errands, I immediately bought the audible version so I wouldn't have to miss even a moment. Smiles and tears and gut-wrenching perfection in every chapter. Thank you for bringing this story to life. It was beautiful and I am so very glad that I took a chance on it.

Beautiful story

This is a beautiful heartfelt story that will stay with me for a very long time. It’s a story about 2 child hood friends growing into adulthood.
The narrators were amazing at bringing these special characters to life.
I highly recommend this book.

Heartwarming romance

This book made me cry tears of joy several times. The representation of ASD is perfect! It’s so touching and sweet. This is definitely one of my Top 3 favorite books of the year!!

Loved Lucky and Ellis

You know you're going to love a book when not even an hour into the story. You're already a sobbing mess and completely in love with the two MCs. Ellis may be a man of few words, but the way that Lucky connects with and understands him is soul deep. These two men were childhood best friends who were inseparable. Even after Lucky graduated college and left to pursue his dream job, they still talk no matter where in the world Lucky's job takes him. Ellis and Lucky are like two halves of one whole. They complete each other. I love how Lucky loves Ellis for who he is. Ellis's simple mum's speak volumes to Lucky. These two men were so sweet, and they were so perfect together. This was such a beautiful, romantic story.

I rated this book five stars after only reading 3 chapters! It was so beautiful!!!

I love everything about this book!! I will never forget Lucky and Ellis. I immediately started the book over again.

Best Epilogue Ever

Honestly this entire book was fantastic. The love and emotion portrayed throughout the story, as well as the character growth, was just amazing. But that epilogue was literally the best one I've experienced so far. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I'll just say that the ending was *gah* so full of love 😍

Stunningly Beautiful!

Started listening at 11:00PM, and could not stop listening. So needless to say did not sleep, but it was well worth it!

The relationship and love of these two boys into manhood was so poignant and lovely. It was not without it angst, and at times I became so agitated over the fear and lack of communication I wanted to scream, but finally their courage overruled their fear.

The performances were stellar!!!
