Lovely story!

Laina Kelley left town years ago to pursue her singing career. Pushed by her "dance mom" manager father, she cut ties with her past. She's now in a wedding dress she hates, getting ready to walk down the aisle to a man she doesn't really love and who's hell-bent on changing who she really is. So, she flees. And she flees to the safest place she's ever known: Luke Marshall's home.
When Luke gets home from work and sees Laina in her poofy wedding dress in his living room, he's pretty sure he's hallucinated her back into his life. He had lost all hope of ever seeing her again when the news of her impeding nuptials broke, let alone see her back in his place! She needs a place to hide... and Luke has never said no to Laina...
Adriana said she wanted to write a hug in book form and she succeeded. This is warm and fuzzy and sweet and swoony and steamy! I'm already in love with the Marshalls and I had my doubts that she could make Luke top tier book boyfriend (we met him in the first book and I wasn't exactly impressed with his track record, just saying...). but she did it! Luke and Laina are adorable and perfect together.
It's surprisingly low angst, considering the several situations Laina is running away from and I love that!
Narrated dual style by a new pairing to me and I loved them together: Shiloh James and Lane Greenfield. Shiloh has a sweet and warm voice that is perfect for Laine. Lance embodies Luke with perfection. A wonderful audiobook!
Perfect if you love second chance at your first love, found family, sexy farriers with Instagram fans, loyal bodyguards, and sugar with a lot of spice! Lovely!

This was a feel good, entertaining and just an overall adorable audio. Laina and Luke had chemistry from the get go and with each additional chapter, Adriana Locke made their connection sweet, sexy and completely droolworthy. A fabulous and light listen that gives the you something to smile about while they put the worlds troubles on the back burner. Shiloh James and Lance Greenfield make the characters come to life.

Fabulous Story & Listen🎧Riveting & Heartwarming!

Adriana Locke does it again and pens another amazing romance novel set in her “Marshall Family” series, a heartwarming standalone novel that not only captivated my attention the entire time, but tugged at my heartstrings, too. It is popstar sensation Laina Kelley’s wedding day, and she is all dressed up and ready to go, except the only place she wants to go is far away because she realizes she does not want to marry her fiancé, Hollywood heart throb, Tom Waverly. She calls her best friend Stephanie, who helps arrange her get-away car and driver, Troy Castelli of Landry Security. Not sure where she can run too without being recognized, an idea popped into her head, and that is how she winds up going to Peachwood Falls to visit her first love, Luke Marshall. Finding Laina in his home surprised Luke, but it was a welcomed surprise and he was on board with keeping her hidden and safe, and for Laina, she felt like she was home again. I absolutely adored these two, and it was great to watch them get reacquainted, and it was clear they had unresolved feelings for each other and the chemistry between them never sizzled out. This wonderfully written and plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, charming and heartwarming moments, humorous banter amongst the Marshalls, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Adriana Locke, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Shiloh James and Lance Greenfield did a fabulous job bringing these characters to life, humanizing them with their personality, and giving each a voice that was fitting. James’ portrayal of Laina was perfection, taking the role and making it her own, and Greenfield did the same and was just as amazing in his role as Luke. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters and were believable in every role they played. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These two are entertaining storytellers and their performance elevates this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

This Much Is True

This Much is True is the first book in the Marshall Family series. This book is about Laina and Luke and is told from both of their points of view.

This book starts with Laina bailing on her wedding. She goes to hide out in the last place she feels safe which is at her ex-boyfriend Luke's house. Luke is shocked to see her there. He lets her stay, and sparks start to rekindle.

What happens with Laina's ex? What happens with her family? What happens between Laina and Luke? Will they get their happy ending?

I really enjoyed this book, and can't wait to see what happens next in the series.

I really loved the second chance romance it was a absolute great story where she's being run by her father who's actually running her to the ground basically being told who to marry who to do everything for and runs back to where she used to live and right into the arms of the guy who well she left it all for it was a great story I highly recommend it. both narrators didn't good job.

Fun, Steamy and Irresistible Romance!

This second chance romance was a fun, steamy, and irresistible story. It has all the feels, the laughs, and amazing family and small town dynamics, I just couldn't get enough! Laina Kelley's life has spiraled out of control, and she can't go through with a wedding to a man she doesn't love, even if he is a huge movie star. The only place she feels safe is with her first love and the one man she has never forgotten. Luke Marshall never thought he would see the only woman he has ever loved again, much less on his couch in a wedding dress. He could never say no to Laina, and he wants to help her, no matter the cost to his heart. They easily reconnect, have fun, and sizzling hot passion. But what happens when their lives are completely different? Are they strong enough to fight for a second chance? I really love and fell hard for both Laina and Luke! They fit so seamlessly into each other's lives and brought a support, peace, comfort, and unconditional love that they both needed desperately, and their chemistry was off the charts! I also enjoyed catching up with all the Marshall family who were funny, supportive and added so much heart to this beautiful, sweet, heartwarming and sizzling romance!
I loved the performances by narrators Shiloh James and Lance Greenfield. They portray each character with a perfect balance between fun & flirty, heartfelt emotion, and sizzling passion flawlessly. They work so well together, conveying so much emotion in their performances, that they made me adore this captivating story even more!

Entertaining

I could not wait to read Luke Marshall and Laina Kelley’s story. From the moment I read the blurb, I was intrigued. I enjoy second chance at love, enemies to lovers’ stories and this one ticked the boxes for me, particularly since it is set in a small town, which is a genre I really enjoy.

When Laina runs away from her wedding, she seeks out her first love and now frenemy, Luke.  The chemistry between them still sizzles, making it hard to ignore, but Laina has a successful singing career, will she be prepared to give it up for Luke?

I loved this book, the characters were engaging and I was quickly found myself invested in the story that Ms. Locke wove.  This Much Is True was a witty, fun, romantic story.    The banter had me laughing out loud on numerous occasions and left me with a smile on my face.

The narration by Shiloh James and Lance Greenfield was spot on. Their performances brought the characters to life for me and did justice to the story Ms. Locke wove. Their voices were easy to listen to and brought the passion, romance and humor to their narration with their performances.
