love this book

I read this book, so listening to this book was a freaking treat!!
I would say my only complaint would have been, I would have loved hearing this book/series in Duet.

Lauren Sweet and Alex Kydd are the narrators and they are awesome

Too little MMC/Kydd

While I an enjoyed the story and the FMC is dynamic & narrated well, there is very little MMC POV or Kydd-preformed dialogue—only comes in after 11 hours and, even still, for just ~30 min.

Not truly dual narration read…

One of my big reasons for picking this particular book to read right now was to listen to Alex Kydd. But his part in narrating this book is only at the very end, and only a sliver of the book. Which detracted from the book, because I was waiting to hear the dual viewpoints, and because that never really came- it was seriously disappointing. I will always enjoy Layla Frost, but I sincerely hope that in the future when her books say that they have dual narration, they actually do. 😉

10 Mr. Bossy Pants Stars!

I LOVED this book! It had everything I could ask for.

-Awesome heroine. check.
-Growly, dominant hero. check.
-Fun side characters. check.

I've always hated heroines that don't stand up for themselves or flip out when other women try to come in between the couple. Piper was awesome. She didn't take shit from Jake or anyone else. She didn't play games or jump to conclusions and always gave Jake the benefit of the doubt when a woman tried to interfere.

For once it wasn't just Piper having to deal with every woman wanting Jake, we also got to see Jake having to deal with other men wanting Piper. It was nice to see it not be so one sided. That has always been a pet peeve of mine.

This couple wasn't perfect. Jake had a few asshole moments and normally that would put me off but I think because Piper handled it so well, it just didn't bother me. She wasn't perfect either. She had her own insecurities but I just loved how the author treated each situation. They communicated, imagine that.

The plot twist towards the end surprised me so it wasn't predictable. I enjoyed all the side characters and would happily read a book on each and every one of them and it was just a overall fun read.

Perfect read and narration. I absolutely loved the characters and it kept me interested. I thought I knew the outcome at the end. But it definitely was a twist never expected it!

Obsessive Love!!

I usually listen to dark romances, but when I need a break I look for something softer and this THIS book was perfect!

1st yes they’re are two narrators but the Alex Kydd only comes in the last 2-3 chapters. Otherwise the story is told by the female perspective.

2nd story is cute BUT definitely a hint of darker and obsession between Alpha male and sweet/kick ass heroine!

Story is pretty much - girl meets guy, girl’s panties go woosh, guy instant hard possessive, virgin bits scare guy, but girl possibly dating someone else scares him right back to her. Strong fast deep love BAM detectives, jealous itches, crazy stalker (not in the least bit attractive type), saving the day, HEA oops looks like someone else is falling in love for book 2!

💥BAM💥now go actually read it! You’re gonna love this series!

Good despite repetition of dingus

Would have loved more Hyde chapters. Also if I could get less of the word “dingus” and the “yeah” at the end of Hyde’s demands I’d live a happy life. 😂

Customs & Cupcakes What Could Be Better?!

I had read this story before but wanted to grab a copy of the audible version for times when I could listen but not read, it was great to hear the story "again".

I did appreciate that male and female voice actors were used however I would have liked all male spoken parts to be done by the male and vice versa

over 8 hours in and still no pov from the MMC. it's been dragged out but I have to finish.

Jake's pov is only on the last 3 chapters and not even a whole chapter.
