About this listen

Welcome to Angel Falls, a town so delightful even enemies can't help falling in love!

Angel Falls is the last place Sara Langdon wants to be. Her hometown may be charming, but it's also filled with memories of her "wedding-that-never-was". Yet Sara's grandmother needs her, and joining her dad at his medical practice gives Sara time to figure out what she wants for her future. But when her first patient turns out to be Colton Walker, the man who sabotaged her wedding, Sara starts to wonder if she'll ever be able to escape her past.

As police chief, Colton Walker is devoted to his small town, and he's equally determined to avoid its newest resident. He and Sara have always gotten along like oil and water, and since the bachelor party incident, he's her enemy number one. But after sharing an unexpected - and unexpectedly hot - kiss, Colton starts to wonder if the woman he's always fighting with is the one he should be fighting for.

Sizzling sexy romance

Classic misunderstood man, who was a real sweetie. Good story line. Loved the ending. Nicely read by narrator.

Love this author. This book...not so much

I love this author. I have read everything she has written and was very much looking forward to this title. It was fine, but I have read/heard this story before. Many many times. It was okay, but boring and while listening kept thinking "same old same old". I kept waiting for something new, a twist or something that I just haven't heard before, but was a little disappointed. The writing was of course good, but I'm not sure I will be listening to the rest of the series.

Wonderful enemies to lovers story

Dr. Sera Langdon has returned to her hometown of Angel Falls, OH...where, legend has it, that the angel statues at the bridge over the falls, will bring true love and happiness to anyone who kisses & takes a picture at the statues. The same town where her then-fiancé cancelled their wedding a year ago and moved in with the woman who jumped out of the cake at his bachelor party. Now Sera is back, to help care for her aging grandmother, and working at her father’s medical practice and taking turns at the small ER. On her first night on duty at the ER, one of her patients is a man that she despises...her ex-fiancé’s beat friend and the one responsible for the cake and ‘cake girl’...oh, and also the police chief! Their encounters are not but hostile until one night when, Sera is a bit tipsy, and the truth about the past comes out. Turns out that Colton has always had feelings for Sera but had always deferred to his best friend. Once the air is cleared, Colton and Sera begin dating, but what will happen when the ex-fiancé returns asking Sera’s forgiveness? The sub plot on the relationship with Sera and her family is wonderful...just what you expect from an Italian family with a grandma called Nonna!
Great story and narration! Moving on now to bk 2 and Gabby’s story.

Okay

A good story with excellent characterization. A bit slow for me, lots of words but little said. It was in first person, which is not my preference (I didn't realize that until later), meaning a lot of self-talk. If you like that kind of story, I highly recommend.
