Fantastic Series

I was so happy with this series and in the process discovered new authors. The characters were well developed and the story had twists and turns keeping the books interesting. the narrators were also terrific. I can't wait to read more.

Loved it...suspense...intrigue I could not quit

Loved this book and the series...kept you listening and wanting more each time.

Story was great!

I loved Mercedes and Judge’s story most especially their ending. My only complaint is that the male narrator read like Captain Kirk and his attempt to give Santiago an accent despite the fact that he never had one in previous stories was annoying as well. His pronunciation needs work too. However I thought the female narrator did a fantastic job. I’m glad I got this trilogy and finally got to know Mercedes better, actually found her likable despite my previous impression of her, and was happy she finally had her own story.

Could have been better

So Mercedes was a self righteous brat in this story so I can't say I loved it as much as the first two but I did start to love Salanas character. Not a horrible listen but didn't hold a candle to the first 2.

Best in series

This was the best of the 3 stories. I do wish that they would start combining books into one because the third was unnecessary, the story could have been told in two. Third book was a lot of repeating what we already know and characters talking about thoughts and feelings and unnecessary banter. As a whole the story was great but tired of feeling like I am overcharged .

One of the better books I have listened to...

Finally a good series by two of some of my favorire authors. I can tell Natasha Knight was apart of this because had A.Zavarelli wrote this on her own it would have been especially and amazingly darker. A.Z is darker than N.K and I prefer it that way. Just listen to Beast to know what I'm talking about. They are both amazing authors BUT! The darker the better in my opinion. From what I read from the reviews I was expecting so much more/worse but when I say worse I Mean that in a good way. N.K doesn't really ever like to cross that line like A.Z, Pam.Godwin and Anna Zaires does. Those ladies know how to write dark romance that I absolutly love and need more of. But I blame the fans for the more recent books not being as dark as I like. So to the reviewers. Please stop being such pushy pansies and allow authors to get back to the real dark stuff they know how to write and most of us love to read/listen to. And it wouldbbe a good idea to put a !WARNING! Label for those types of listeners. Also there is a difference between boring ole out right mean bullying and real "dark" romance type stuff. I prefer the romance dark stuff to the outright mean bully crap that way to many authors these days use and call"dark". It is dark just not Pan Godwin A.Zavarelli and Anna Zaires Dark. I would Love those three to hey together and write a series. Kh tjat would be so amazingly and awesomely sizzling darkly good.
It seem lately writers are to afraid to really get to the raw dark gritty stuff because of all the harsh critics out there. But the majority if us love the deep dark to the bone type of stuff. It is so much more interesting and captivating.
Anyway, Good book with a good story line. I was hoping for darker but not bad. There was sex but it wasn't your boring run of the mill crap that I dred amd have to skip through. Oh No! These ladies know how to keep us enthralled and coming back for more.

Really good

I like this pillaging of bucks. I wish there were more I VI stories because I enjoy them. I like that judge, and Mercedes got their time. I should write. I can't wait to hear the stories about the judge's brother and Mercedes's best friend.

After being banished by her brother (rightfully so) Mercedes goes to live with Judge who is to carry out her punishment vs the tribune. Judge is very dominate and likes to carry out “punishments “. Mercedes is a little bratty at times and the girl can get herself into every wrong situation. She ends up hurt multiple times while in Judges care. Judge though I love him. He is so loyal and caring deep down. I feel like this would have been a 5 star series for me if it was a duet. Both MCs have to deal with their brothers and work on their relationships or lack thereof with them.

Narration was amazing!

Could have been 2 books!

I said this after reading book 1 but I'm so tired of paying for 3 books when it's easily a 2 book series. The story is good and I really do see Mercedes in a new light. Kudos to the authors for making me do a 180 on a character. Glad everyone got their HEA!

Soooooo unnecessarily drawn out.

This set should have been 1 book, with more passionate descriptive sex and WAY LESS whipping for cruelty. Shit drags on foreverrrr using the same scenario repeating the same experience using different verbiage all in one scene,.. Then repeats again.
