I like the story

I like the storyline, but the characters especially the heroine, is a bit upsetting to listen to. Her naïveté is what I’m upset about. Overall I like her the books.

Loved this!

I loved this duet from from start to finish. This author always delivers the best plot and spice.

Ok but very dark

The story was just too dark and violent for me. I have a hard time believing anybody could handle all that abuse. The narrators did a really good job. I think the story would’ve been fine if they would’ve left out some of those really dark parts.

Good story line

At least the main woman character had a little bit of a backbone in the first book. The second book… I think her backbone left. I just wish some of the women who are main characters in these type of books could make “their men” feel more pain whether physically or mentally without giving in so easy

Story was ok

There is just no way anyone could be that dense. No matter the abuses and drama no one would subject themselves to that kind of respect and be emotionally stable. Too much violence for me to like this story.

I loved the storyline.

I enjoyed this storyline. Some scenes definitely kept me on the edge of my seat.
I also picked up on the “ Stockholm’s syndrome” in this book. It was wry contradicting as he told the lead character he would never hurt her but there were several occasions where he not only physically abused her but psychologically prayed on her.
And no 19 year old is that naïve with obvious proof right in front of her.

What a wild ride!!

So it took me a long time to figure out The Society and I kept wondering what year the story took place - the rules and punishments are so archaic! Book 1 was dark, dark, DARK! I mean - woah!! Book two saw more of the romance development. The suspense happened throughout both books and is consistently well done - not at all stale by the time it’s resolved. The character development is excellent with both MCs with good dialogue. I really liked this one, but be prepared for some triggers. Particularly consensual non-con! There’s a LOT of that. The narrators are fantastic as well!

Great book I would recommend it

I like Natasha Knight books however what I did not like was the violence that is done against the women in the story and then suddenly they change their mind and fall in love with the person that was tormenting them however it is a good read, and I like the narrators and the flow of the story and of course, getting two stories for the price of one is also a good deal
