About this listen

The first book in USA Today best-selling author Molly Harper’s dazzling new Moonshadow Cove trilogy, simmering with magical mayhem, spicy romance, and laugh-out-loud humor!

As the youngest of three sea witch sisters, Linney Seaworth lives a secluded existence in her family’s secret cottage on Moonshadow Cove, the far side of Starfall Point. Together, the Seaworths wield magic derived from the surrounding waters to keep the human population safe from paranormal threats. But Linney has always longed for a more adventurous life ... which is exactly what she gets when handsome newcomer Gray Brockhurst shows up on the Island.

Gray just inherited one of Starfall’s oldest ghost tour companies. Even though he’s never believed in ghosts, he’s continuing the family business to honor his late grandfather, who relished in sharing the island’s lore. But Gray is thrown for a loop when a lovely local interrupts his tour and changes his entire world view. Apparently, ghosts are all too real, and he’s been offending them with inaccurate stories during his “performances.”

But soon the Seaworths face a bigger problem: A deadly enemy has been unleashed, and it’s unlike anything they’ve ever encountered. As Linney and Gray work together to stop it, the attraction brewing between them just might be the most powerful magic of all.

Molly and Amanda do it once again!
Can’t wait until fall for book 2. I’m so excited to see how this all turns out

I love Molly

Loves it. Building off of established character adding new characters with a ease. Love the Starfall series all of them

Yea

Loved the new series and expanse on the island. Great narration as usual with Amanda Ronconi. Loved the characters! I cannot wait to see what the sisters end up getting into next. Lenny and Gray’s story was just the thing I needed in the day to make me laugh and smile. Molly Harper is one of my favorite authors and this book didn’t disappoint.

A seaworthy read (water or land)

I love all of Molly Harper's books. It's funny that the first series I listed to were possibly her only non-magical series. I usually don't go for fantasy books because they often feel amateur and cliché to me. But Molly does a great job of mixing the fantasy in with great dialog and believable characters. Amanda Ronconi is a pro in every way. I love how she reads like someone actually telling a story, not like someone who is reading. My one gripe is Teddy Hamilton. His overly affected way of reading feels to me like someone trying too hard to sound cool. I've seen his social media feed and there are a few videos where he speaks normally and he sounds fantastic! I wish he would drop to try-hard acting and just use his normal way of speaking. I feel like the characters would be much more believable!

Amanda: 5 stars, Teddy: Meh

Loved how the author built on to the mythos she started with the Shadowhouse books. As always, great characters with very real motives and cute relationships.

Creative world expansion

I love Molly Harper’s imagination! It is such a great escape. Only thing I wish could be fixed is the pronunciation of the word “rugelach.” It is always wrong!

Fun listen

This book was such a fun read! Amanda Ronconi always does an amazing job narrating and Molly’s books always guarantee a smile. The ocean imagery was beautiful, and I loved how the sea witches’ phrases tied into that theme. The love story was sweet and kept me hooked, and it was great to see familiar faces from the other Starfall Point books. The scene in the ice cream shop completely warmed my heart. I couldn’t stop smiling!

Starfall Point. Love. Seawitches. Need I say more?

I like this introduction to a new magical series. The Seaworth sisters live in a secluded cottage outside of Starfall Point, while they have their own magical coven, they don’t interact with the Starfall Point witches, until now.

I’m looking forward to this series

Molly Harper books are my low-stress happy place & it seems that Moonshadow Cove will live up to that expectation. Taking us back to the fudge-scented magic of Starfall Point, Molly has managed to pull back the curtain of not 1 but 2 previously unknown magical worlds. The characters, motivation & conflict all feel organic so luckily this doesn't feel in any way like a forced spin-off. The cameos of previous characters were wonderfully done and left just enough "ooooh'' to give me hope that we will see more of our Shadow House friends in the coming stories. Very excited for book 2!

eeeek! so satisfying
