About this listen

Daxas' trials continue.

He has defeated those with the temerity to face him and claimed the dark elf Dungeon Mistress Jen'Zadeer Shadestar for his own.

His guild, the Dark Moon Rising, continues to flourish despite its figurehead Chief Simeon Reedwhistle's reservations.

However, Daxas' teasing guide Alyssa has been incommunicado for some time. He will soon learn the reason why, and the cycle of his victories being met with further roadblocks is set to continue.

Daxas has had enough of the repetition. It's time to break the cycle, force his true opponents from the shadows, and slice his claws across their throats.

The end may not be nigh, yet, but it will be soon if the Wolf King has anything to say about it.

Stupid Dwarfs

This was another incredibly enjoyable book. This is a fun series to listen to and really gets you involved and invested in Dax. The Narration is on point and they don't miss a beat

another good one

Right up front I'm going to say that I recommend this series. When it comes to reviewing a sequel, I am looking for everything that made the last book worth reading and then some. That is this book. I've been enjoying this story immensely. In this one we have an more of the gods trying to screw him over. We finally have a conclusion to the dwarven Guild issue. Honestly the main character is flat out moving in a super aggressive manner during this book. Now with that being said book 5 is the penultimate and is out now whereas book six is the last of the series. Considering how well things went in this book for the main character I am expecting things to get derailed in a big way going forward. The main character makes one hell of a gamble and so now he's on a clock like nothing you've ever seen before, at least in this series. Once again, the narration team has delivered a fantastic performance. They're quickly becoming one of my favorite narration teams. Lastly, I'll just say thank you to everybody who had a hand in bringing this story to us the audible listeners.

They did it again!!!

Another excellent episode with our favorite conniving, horn dog. Get it, sex dungeon...werewolf...horn dog? Never mind, I'm just having a dad joke moment. Anyway, there is a lot of plot progression in this episode that you won't want to miss. There are so many plots and plans in place but Daxis knows what he's doing. Spend a credit and catch up on the story!

Almost perfect

The story is great. Jonathan is a fantastic narrator. Maeve is mediocre. Her inflection is somewhat stale and here characters aren't very diverse.
