Burning Daylight begins as many of London's finest works begin: with the depiction of a man blessed with physical prowess and keen perception who takes on the natural forces of the 19th century Yukon. Supreme gold miner, risk-all gambler, and unbeatable fighter, Burning Daylight is his name. Daylight moves from the Yukon to San Francisco, and plays "the bigger game of finance and wealth," until he is reminded of something he lost, something pure and good....

The attacks of the huge lobo Gray Cloud have caused the remarkable price of $2,500 to be put on his head. And it falls to big Dave Reagan, considered little better than a half-wit in that part of the range, to discover the monster held fast in two of his traps. Something in the fearless animal's eyes keeps young Dave from killing the wolf. Instead Dave releases Gray Cloud, who is unable to walk, and rescues him from a prairie fire that threatens them both. In 1962, Don and Carol Richardson risked their lives to share the gospel with the Sawi people of New Guinea. Peace Child tells their unforgettable story of living among these headhunters and cannibals who valued treachery through fattening victims with friendship before the slaughter. God gave Don and Carol the key to the Sawi hearts via a redemptive analogy from their own mythology.

Reseñas editoriales
John Chatty delivers an enthralling performance of American writer Jack London’s short story "The White Silence". His rich voice and lively interpretation of the dialogue enhances this tale, which is set during the Klondike Gold Rush. Mason, his wife, Ruth (a native American woman), and the Malemute Kid are traveling across the desolate, cold expanse of the Yukon by dog sled. The two men disagree about the treatment of one of the weaker dogs in the pack. Before long, tragedy strikes. Can they all survive another 200 miles of wilderness?

A Very Short, Stark, Story of Life in The Arctic
This is a well read short story about the struggle for survival in the Arctic. It can be easily read / listened to in one sitting. I read the story while listening and the narration was completely faithful to the text. Jack London does a great job conveying the battle for survival in this environment. Thank You...
