One of My 2022 Favorite Listens

With timely social commentary woven into the story, this modern day retelling of Stephen King's Carrie shows us that horror can take many forms. The phenomenal narration worked well with multiple POVs, podcast, and other elements that were used to tell the story and provided all of necessary drama and suspense.

I've definitely added The Weight of Blood to my top listens list for 2022!

Wonderful homage to Stephen King’s “Carrie.”

Carrie is a favorite of mine, and I was curious about this. Voice performances were great, and I really enjoyed the character development in the story.

Very creative reimagining!

I loved the twist on this classic story. The voice actors were great and the added sound effects made the whole thing feel like a movie. My only criticism is the story not including what happened to two of the characters that seemingly vanished. I would’ve loved to know the details of their ending, if it was happy or not.

The story and the audio were perfect! I really hope there is a second book!! You left me with a cliff hanger. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to escape and see things from a different perspective.

I loved the ending and the chills you could get leading up!

One of my favorite reads with a unique twist and it made me want to cry. The story is one that you dive head first and swim out changed. Over all it was awesome

Original retelling of Carrie

This was an incredible retelling. It was still original even being a retelling and the feels it made me feel were wild. I cannot wait to read more things by her. The cast of voice actors really lent depth to the story I would highly recommend.
