Publisher's summary

So many people are attracted to the practice of meditation, only to quickly give up after wrestling with the many obstacles that seem to block their path. Don Rosenthal shares a surprising epiphany....the obstacles are the path.

Here is a surprisingly personal story of one man's spiritual awakening which offers readers the encouragement to find their own way to an examined life, and an open heart.

The author's early teacher, Jidu Krisnamurti taught him well. On the spiritual journey, if you think you have a map, you are on the wrong road. However, Don has found a way to leave a trail of breadcrumbs for the reader to follow. In these pages, you will discover how to develop the self-knowledge, self-mastery and self-compassion that can turn suffering into truth, and fear into freedom.

I will need to keep this in my library and reflect on it again and again…

How incredibly insightful this Book is! I have learned that this can be listened to over and over and one can pick up new things every time. This book is a pick me up whenever I am feeling down, angry, or any of those undesired moods. It really has a way of getting me out of my head and not taking life so seriously!

Vulnerable and insightful.

This book caught me by surprise with its author's raw inner dialog. His unique analogies offered many touching moments of realization. It was my pleasure to meet Don recently, and equally so to listen to the wisdom he packed into this recording. I can't wait to read his other books!

A story of a man who has looked deeply

This book is a hidden treasure. The Uncharted Journey is a helpful road map for anyone who is interested in unwinding the core contraction of fear that so many of us feel. Don Rosenthal is a man who thinks deeply, In this book he explores some of the the most important and profound questions. What is our greatest fear? Is our safety based on what we do or have? Is there ever a good time to close our hearts? Is it safe to die?
Any who take the time to really contemplate the writing in this book will find answers to question they never thought to ask..

One of my top 3 spiritual books

This book has become one of my top three go to spiritual books. Right up there with the power of now by Eckhart Tolle and diamond in your pocket by Ganga G.
Don Rosenthal‘s gift of communication and explaining deeply profound concepts and easy to understand language is unsurpassed.
I’ve already listened to this book twice and will plan on listening to it many more times.

Favorite Book Ever?

Incredible perspectives in this book. Don takes all of the collective wisdom from Buddhist and yoga books and applies it to real life by sharing his own personal experiences and learning through the years.

Getting this perspective from a master who has been married for 50 years and who was approaching 80 when writing this book is a gift. Most authors talk in the third person and don’t connect with real life events. This is a notable exception. Planning to reread this many times.
