I want to be friends with these characters

The book was sad at the beginning and I had my doubts if I could get into it. However, once we turned the corner into happier times, I could not stop listening. Loved it! I hope there are more books in the series. I need to vicariously attend more of these dinner parties.

I enjoyed the book from the very beginning. The characters were interesting and I loved all their personalities and great names! I look forward to the next book in this series.

Descriptions of people and places are vivid and lend themselves to the imagination. Made for a very enjoyable listen.

Full of twists and turns

Just love these mysteries and she presents them so well, you are blindsided by the outcome. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Low Country Soul Food

I love this type of book! Very comforting yet stimulating! These are the type of characters that could fit in any setting. This was my first Susan Boyer, but won’t be my last.

Weak plot

Way to wordy and gossipy for my liking - so wordy that it became hard to keep track of who the characters all were, who was speaking, and felt more like a small town gossip column than a book

Disappointed

I have always enjoyed Susan’s books but this book felt disjointed and didn’t come together until the last few chapters.

Don’t waste your time or a credit

I generally enjoy Susan Boyer. However this is not one of her better titles. I also disliked the narrative.

On and on conversations

Too much idle talking and conversation, not any real plot. No suspense until end. Enjoyed her other books but definitely this one doesn’t compare to her others.
