Tipsy doesn’t know whether to side with Jane, who seems to be hiding something under her Southern belle charm, or Henry, a mercurial creative genius. Jane and Henry draw Tipsy into their conundrum, and she uncovers secrets long concealed under layers of good manners, broken promises, and soupy Lowcountry air.

Living with ghosts, however, takes a toll on her health and possibly even her sanity. As she struggles to forge a new path for herself and her children, Tipsy has a chance to set Jane and Henry free—and release the ghosts of her own past.

Great Charleston Book

Wonderful story line that kept me waiting for the next event within the story! I cannot wait to read more of the series.

Loved how the author highlighted historic information but allow for it to take over the storyline.

This book came up as a suggestion for me and I am so glad it did. I finished all 11 hours in 3 days. So yes, the story was engaging and flowed effortlessly. I believe she did an amazing job with these characters; they are likable and have lots of layers for future storylines.

Most annoying narrator

The book moves so slow and the narrator’s voice does not help. She is so slow and nasal it is like scratching a chalkboard. Wish I could return for a credit.

Slow & boring

Story moves so slowly I couldn’t even finish it. I’m halfway through and nothing much has happened. Her character is lacking in any interest or depth. The premise of this plot is good and could have made a great story. The author should go back to writing school.

AI or live narrator? hard to tell.

Couldn't follow the story because the narrator sounded like a really good AI voice. Inflections in all the wrong places. I understand Southern dialect, as I am from the South - but I had to rewind and re-listen multiple times. Decided to return after 2 chapters. I will read the kindle version instead. Sorry Johanna.
