What a ride!

This is the second Holly Craig book I’ve read this week. I enjoy her writing style and characters. Quite an interesting adventure!

End Really Dragged

The end really dragged on this, I was waiting for another twist, but was let down unfortunately

Loved it

Loved the narrator. I hope the author uses her again. Storyline was great. Definitely recommend.

Good listen!

I’m starting to really enjoy this authors writing style. She really tells a story through the inner dialogue of the main character. I’m finding that the thoughts and inner turmoil of the main character described by the author is what sucks me in to the story. I can really feel her pain and understand why she (Emma) is doing what she is doing.

I liked that there was actually a good male character in this story, since it’s starting to feel like the author is a bit of a man hater. She adds a descriptor like, “toxic masculinity” on a character who is more of a criminal/ predator then the former. I don’t really like that aspect of her story telling, but I’m definitely going to listen to more of this author.

Not for me

Reading the summary, this sounded like something I would like to listen to and the great reviews motivated me to go for it. I tried, almost made it thru first half but I'm just not enjoying it. I dislike that each chapter moves back or forth in time and characters. I listen to my audiobooks here and there as I go thru the day. I simply couldn't pick up where the story was. Are we '3 months ago'? Or now? Or 2 days ago? Who's talking now?
Nope.

On the edge of my seat!

A great read which becomes more intense with each chapter. I found myself giving instructions to Emma on how to proceed. And i came to a satisfying end.

The storyline

Loved it from beginning to end!! It kept me on the edge of my seat and I just couldn't keep to stop listening!

Caught my attention right from the start.

Great book! Easy listening, lots of suspense. I was having a hard time finding something new to listen to this caught my attention immediately. I was hooked! Thankful for a snow day because I was up late listening. I couldn’t wait to hear what was going to happen next.

Surprising and refreshing

A completely different storyline than most out there. Not too heavy but I found myself seeking time to listen.

Beautiful insight into our relational humanity

It took me a few chapters but then I was hooked. Eloquent yet real and deep insights into husband/ wife/ married life. When is the sequel?
