Easy to listen to & very unique
Great story with a quick start and consistent pacing. I have a hard time getting into books, especially if they move slow. No such problems with this one. Liked the characters and their relationships with one another, it was a unique storyline and not too trope-y (I’m a fan of several tropes but they do get repetitive!).

High-romance driven
4.5 STAR: This story is entirely romance-driven, so if you enjoy a romance-plot, high-romance read, this one’s for you. The FMC and MMC share a deep, fated love, willing to fight for each other in this life and the next.
The narrative alternates between past and present. In the present, the FMC is on a heart-wrenching journey to collect the scattered body parts of her lover—separated by a god as punishment for their love. Flashbacks reveal how their connection first began and why it became so powerful. Along the way, gods aid her quest, but she also has a companion who keeps her grounded, warns her of dangers, and provides the knowledge she needs to navigate each challenge.
This is a short listen, and to me, it was just an okay read. Repeat internatal dialog. While it has a unique premise, it’s definitely a book for the romance lovers rather than those seeking an intricate plot. If you’re looking for a simple, standalone romance without committing to a long series, it might be worth a try—but it wasn’t a standout for me.
