Absolutely loved this story

From the first chapter of this story, I was hooked. This was a different take on fantasy and I loved it. I loved the FMC and her internal struggle with what she has to do. Then when the MMC was introduced, it was this beautiful moment. But the tension between the MMC and FMC was so thick you could cut it like butter. There were so many beautiful moments in this book too. I loved how it focused on the beauty of your family by choice, not those that are blood related, but the family we choose for ourselves.

I have already recommended this book to several people and I see this book being one of my top books of 2024! I loved these characters, the story, the betrayals, the love, the suspense, it had it all. I would give this 🌶️🌶️ as there was some spice but not a whole lot. But the story, tension and story were so well done that I didn't miss the spice!

Teddy is amazing as narrator. I LOVE how they are now doing the female and male counterparts. Makes it just that much better.

I found this book on a bookhang over. Super impressed with the story building, characters, banter and pretty much the whole damn thing. Also love the standalone idea. The having to wait an entire year for the next book is becoming annoying, this ties it all up, but there can be more if need be. This book has me emotional and sad and happy and everything. Love love love.

This my mind blowing

This book kept me on a cliffhanger, every time. This was worth the listen and I am so glad I bought it.

Good idea, ok writing, great narration.

The overall world and ideas is really cool. The characters are a bit one demential, and the dialing feels like it was written by a very young author who has never actually experienced love or sex. I had to play the last 1/3 at 1.5 speed to get through it. Younger readers will love it though!

Fantastic enemy to lovers trope!

Loved the chemistry between the two main characters. Plot was great, magic was great, the world building was fantastic. Loved this book!

Great narration!

Great narrators! I loved the duet style audio. The music is immersive and makes for an extra layer to the story. Can’t wait for the next story from this standalone series!

The book is amazing the female narrator drove me nuts.

The story for this book is so fun. I loved it! I did have to change to reading the book from audible. The female narrator makes every word end in “uh” good-uh. Okay-uh. No-uh. Don’t-uh.
Drove me crazy so I stopped listening. Which is so sad because I LOVE Teddy.
