About this listen

In a galaxy on the edge of cosmic oblivion, one girl must embrace a power she never summoned and fulfill a destiny she never chose.

Five rings...

On the ravaged world of Hesaurun resides an ancient species of sentient mechanoids, The Preservers. Burgeoning with power and determined to cleanse the cosmos of evil, their world-bending potential remains dormant in the absence of a worthy, organic vassal.

An extraterrestrial menace...

The Boecki, a vicious race ofalien tyrants. Fueled by an insatiable drive to seize and conquer, they will stop at nothing until they've devoured every last biosphere across the galaxy.

One girl...

Valerie Dunne, a waif adrift. She is all but a trivial human child until time ceases to work the way we think it does, and an unforeseen destiny rewrites her entire existence. Now, thrust into the heart of a bitter, intergalactic brawl, Valerie is forced to champion a fight and master a power she neither knows nor requested or watch as The Boecki consume everything.

An action-packed, coming-of-age fiction series about a girl who must navigate her way through a purpose she never knew existed. Book One in The Hesaurun Ring Series kickstarts the epic scifi thriller that'll have listeners clutching their seats in suspense and excitement.

The Rings of Hesaurun

This was fantastic! Incredible storylines! It was easy to be invested to root for the good guys and boo the villains. The narrator, Michael Bower did a great job in conveying what the author Peter Harrett had in mind. Cannot wait for book two!!

A time gambit with a new twist.

The Rings of Hesaurun had me hooked from the get-go. This book could have been titled Escape From the Future but that would be far too simple. This story is complicated but surprisingly easy to follow and I immediately liked the characters. Outstanding character development and great narration. The story begins in the far distant future but takes you deep into Earth's prehistoric past, to the present, and back again. What a ride. I have already started listening to it again. I highly recommend it.

Incredible character development!

We love strong female characters, especially in Sci-Fi! The Rings of Hesaurun is an easy listen & a fresh take on time travel and space exploration. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SECOND BOOK!! 10/10 must read.

Great story!

I was pleasantly surprised to find out by listening to the audio, that the story takes place partly in my hometown. I found it very relatable and couldn’t stop listening. I purchased the book for my husband because I knew he would love it too, as he is a huge Sci Fi fan and we read and listened together on the beach all Summer. Looking forward to the next book already!

Cinematic with excellent character development

Every character, every scene, every chapter comes alive. It's like being there, which is as good as it gets listening to audio. I am going to start it over so I can listen again! Highly recommend The Rings of Hesaurun. Can't wait for the next installment.

Ever heard someone tell you about a story...

That's what this book reminded me of. There's a saying in writing, "show, don't tell." Well, for me, this was a great example of someone violating that rule.

hard to follow

The writer is definitely Joe Biden, just wandering around with no real point. Not recommended.
