This is a fun series.
Having lived in both Michigan and North Carolina, I enjoyed hearing tales of both places. I enjoyed the characters and the mysteries of the story.

it was unusual and interesting and it had a new take on the ghost story. I love the relationship between husband and wife and goes at. It had its funny moments but mostly it was very intriguing

Damn!
This was a wonderful listen! I especially liked getting 3 books for one too.
The who done it stories are always a joy, especially when they are as good as these were. I already have the second box set and its loaded and ready to go. So if you'll excuse me I need to see what happens next.

AWESOME Story!
Would you listen to The Max Porter Box Set, Volume 1 again? Why?
When I first started this book, I wasn't sure I would like it. But, I listen to it every night before bed and REALLY enjoy it!
Did Stuart Jaffe do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
The characters are GREAT and well developed and really good. It's fun to hate the villains and route for the good guys!

Captivating from beginning to end
I really enjoyed this box set. I was hesitant to order at first because I prefer a more gothic, Victorian style but this was a great listen. I was completely captivated. It was great to follow these characters through 3 storylines. I looked forward to listening everyday. Really pleased with this and very glad I took the chance. I encourage you to order as well!

Great series love Max
Great stories and narrator. Keeps you intrigued and makes you laugh at loud at times. Would highly recommend will be continuing this series. It is well written and great detail.
