good start can't finish

although this book was off to a good start, which I always enjoy by hour 12, I was bored senseless + lost interest in the story completely. the only reason I kept listening was the narrator was pretty good but I finally stopped with about 3 and 1/2 hours still to go because I just lost track of the story because it was so tedious. sorry

Must Read/Listen

A Fantasy Heist? Need I say more?! Amazing story with found family. Action packed & heart warming. Narrator was INCREDIBLY TALENTED. Bravo!

Had so much potential but couldn't finish

So to start with the positives. The world building is phenomenal. The reason I held on for so long was to see more of it. The idea of the main characters was awesome, but it fell flat in execution. I just didn't care about any of them.
I was not a big fan of the narrator. He did a decent job, but whenever he voiced Kai, I would physically flinch. There was just something about his choice of voice that was like nails on a chalkboard and immediately took me out of the scene.
I got about 5 hours in before I decided it wasn't worth it for me.

A phenomenal adventure!

A rag tag group with a leader of sinbad-like charm this book was just wonderful! I wasn’t sure what to expect and I loved every second of it. The narrator was endearing and did such a great job differentiating between characters. It’s a shame it just came out cus I’m ready for round 2!
