My favorite author has done it again!!

The over all story and performance and the story were superb. I have been waiting for this book to come out and I’m not disappointed. Thanks to the author Tessa Afshar for another book of history and biblical knowledge.

I loved the history, I loved the characters, I loved the story line, loved the faith expressed. I loved the love story.

How God keeps His promises through unlikely situations

Every book Tessa writes is so engaging! They keep you anticipating what may occur and make the Bible accounts come to life. I love reading her books!

Pilar Witherspoon is a new favorite narrator for me. Tessa Afshar always does a stellar job of making the retelling of Scriptural historical events an absolute joy to listen to. Can't wait for Zorina's story...hope that's the next one.

Yes! It's good!!

I enjoyed it from beginning to the end! This adventure was a good one and the love story was sweet ❤. The narrator did a wonderful job! She was great in "The Hidden Prince" as well and I'm so happy they kept the same narrator for this book.

Tessa Afshar doesn’t disappoint!!

So many books I listen to start slow, and require patience in the beginning to get in far enough to capture my attention. I’ve never had that issue with Tessa Afshar. I’m always hooked from the start. Great story, great flow from start to finish. I love how God’s Hand is always interwoven into the story and revealed in a believable context without being preachy. I’m a big fan!
A note on the narrator: I am also a fan of Pilar Witherspoon. She does an awesome job differentiating between characters without having to change her voice, and makes this story a delightful listen. Some narrators do a decent enough job, I’ve listened to some who were distracting and I couldn’t finish the story. Another one narrates the story as if he is reading a textbook out loud, which is a little annoying but I can get through it. I love listening to Pilar’s narration!

Another MUST READ From Tessa!

Tessa is a master at weaving fictional characters into the truth of God’s word. Although fiction, her books always inspire me to open my Bible and read the stories I’ve read all my life from a new perspective. Fortunately, I enjoy the authors writing so much I was able to get past the strange cadence of the narrator. Her awkward emphasis on random words and pauses before hard to pronounce words sometimes made it difficult to persevere. Her almost hillbilly characterization of a couple of the less educated characters was out of place in biblical fiction. Tessa’s writing deserves a more eloquent delivery.

I love how she incorporates history into biblical knowledge.

Tissa's books are always a wonderful read! I want to read all of her books!
