Very good story. Well read. You can not go wrong by picking Tessa s an author of a book.

There was absolutely nothing I disliked, This is an incredible book and the writing is magnificent.

Pilar Witherspoon is a new favorite narrator for me. Tessa Afshar always does a stellar job of making the retelling of Scriptural historical events an absolute joy to listen to. Can't wait for Zorina's story...hope that's the next one.

My favorite author has done it again!!

The over all story and performance and the story were superb. I have been waiting for this book to come out and I’m not disappointed. Thanks to the author Tessa Afshar for another book of history and biblical knowledge.

I loved the history, I loved the characters, I loved the story line, loved the faith expressed. I loved the love story.

How God keeps His promises through unlikely situations

Every book Tessa writes is so engaging! They keep you anticipating what may occur and make the Bible accounts come to life. I love reading her books!

Brings God’s use of Cyrus to life

The intricacies of God’s plans are amazing. A reminder that He is working out such a plan in our time. The inclusion of a wonderful love story satisfies my romantic heart, and serves as another reminder of the love of God working in the lives of individuals in the midst of His vast purposes.

Awesome story!

I love the mix of historical facts with fictional historical romance, great writing and plenty of drama. 

Our role in God’s plans

Beyond the story is a lesson on how God does count on his Children to implement his plans and agendas in this world. Loved how this theme was woven in the masterful telling of the story. Big ups to the Narrator, she’s a genius!

Captivated from the start

I thoroughly enjoyed this second book to this story line. When I listened to The Hidden Prince I had no idea there was more to come. I was overjoyed to continue the adventures in The Peasant King. So far I have loved each book I have which were written by Tessa Afshar.
