About this listen

Cultivation is a struggle through which the weak are forged into Masters. If you want to ascend, you need to heed the teachings of the ancient warriors and the wars that raged across the worlds.

The best place for an Exorcist to develop in the world of Nikrim is the Cloud Abode. Millions of cultivators dream of getting there, devoting their youth to the path of cultivation. Those who have already proved to be worthy and have become Abode students continue to strive for more, trying to overcome their limits, and reach the very peak of their development.

Kai has fulfilled his goal of conquering the Cloud Abode. In a fight against a brilliant cultivator, he put all his knowledge and abilities to the test, fought harder than he had ever fought before, and became the First on the List of Ten Thousand.

Five years have passed since then, and Kai has never stopped developing. There’s still a long road ahead of him. One too long for him to stop. Once again, he embarks on a journey, paving his path through the world of cultivation, where there are always new heights to reach!

Quick Filler

This installment felt like it was setting the stage for the next upgrade to the story line. Plenty of battles between many strong cultivators that seem to die only to save themselves with only seconds to spare. Some will die and some will grow stronger for the next stage. Still a fun (if short) continuation to a great overall story.

Well the title does it justice

Mostly all combat.

Not a problem with it. No stats or checks on our boy really. Lost me on his progress throughout the entirety of the book. Didn't like that.

This is a side quest book

Spoilers ahead

For all those who want to know what happens to Kai? He gets hurt and ends up in an ice cube for this book.

this is a book about everyone else. I personally despise side quest books. wish the author had said what was what.

Okay addition to the series but the MC does almost nothing.

I probably would have rated it a 3 star but we get to find out more about side characters back stories in this one, but our MC barely does anything which is something I don’t like in a story. Felt like they didn’t want to think about power ups for the MC this time. Hopefully the next book is better and the MC will actually have a bigger part in it.

Disappointed

A more than half a book without the main character I bought the book for. Unfortunately I guess the author forgets who his audience fell in love with and wait on baited breath to see how the main character gets his self out of the odds against him. This is one of my favorite series just disappointed
