Alastair Stone and fellow professor Edwina Mortenson go together like punk rock and patchouli. As if dealing with Mortenson, the show’s overbearing producer, and its prima-donna star weren’t bad enough, Stone soon uncovers evidence that the town’s curse is very real - and it’s resurfacing again, more deadly than ever. Miles from civilization, cut off by a freak storm and a washed-out road, Stone must race to find the origin of the curse and stop it before it settles its malignant grip over everyone in the town.
Meanwhile, Jason and Verity head off to tackle their first case on their own in Las Vegas, where a search for a missing family man takes them down a dark path - and leads Verity to make a desperate choice that forces her to question everything she thought she knew about her magic.

EXCELLENT. FANTASTIC SERIES!
As good as always. R L King is a talented writer with fantastic storylines. The Dr Alastair Stone series is awesome. Every book in the series has a fantastic plot. I love the character of Dr Stone and his various friends particularly Verity and Jason. He is a hero. He goes all out to fight evil to help humans, sometimes getting hurt in the process. I hope this series will continue for a long time. Will M Watt narrated/performed excellently as usual. Worth a credit for sure!

absolutely fantastic!
i loved the split story focused on both Stone, and Verity and Jason, in different locations. both had equally horrific things happen to them in their search for justice (in their own way). i was Just as disgusted as V and Jason by what they found, and i nearly broke down in sobs during Alistair’s last moments in the mine with Dr M 🥹😢
and now, i’m going to devour the Next book in this genius series!💞

Fantastic!
Will Watt did a fantasic job with the author's brilliant writing!
It was completely engaging, running a gambit of emotions! The characters continue to grow with each story.
The emotions were real and raw through both the tragedies and triumphs.
I highly recommend the series and this book!
