The Right Title

I retired Boston cop, a traumatized return vet from Afghanistan, an elderly mobster, a retired FBI agent, and assorted other strange people live in an end in Gloucester. three separate cases eventually weave themselves into a common story. A massacre in Afghanistan of civilians, the escape of a mother and child which turns out not to be so, and an elderly woman turned avenger against a mob who want information she has.

generally fast moving and good character development. not a Blockbuster but certainly makes for a good read.

Character development

Accurate law enforcement workings. Gripping story lines. I enjoyed the development of all the main characters.

Reading was good.

I enjoyed the story but there were a few too many characters to keep all of them straight when you listen in the car and some trips are short.

Suspense and interesting characters

Another great creation by James Patterson. It incorporates all the elements I have come to expect from this author. Highly recommend.

Don’t Waste Your Credit

This book is so awful I cannot even finish it. The quality of writing is low level for Patterson. I wish I’d read the reviews instead of trusting author’s writing history and Audible will not let me return it. Huge disappointment!!!!

Way too confusing and disjointed

Way too many characters introduced and non sensical plots and after all of it it’s not entirely clear what was going on nor did I care what was going on or how it ended it was trying to almost be comedic but failed please no more sequels of these characters

The narrator was fine but the book evoked little more than impatient desire for it to end because, after all, I wasted a credit on it. Tedious, predictable, a little callous, and just plain drab. Writing a bajillion books does nothing to ensure quality.

Not one of my favorites. I had trouble keeping track of all the different characters and the different plots.

All of it. Disappointing want a refund. Makes me not want to read another. Never happened before.
