About this listen

Survivors of an apocalypse take refuge in a mountain fortress and face enemies both living and undead in the first three books of this horror series.

Mountain Man: Ever since civilization collapsed in a wave of chaos and blood, Gus Berry has been waking up, getting drunk, and preparing for the day when “they” will come up the side of his mountain. But when Gus encounters another survivor while out scavenging for supplies, he realizes there are other threats on the post-apocalyptic horizon.

Safari: Living on the outskirts of a zombie-infested city, Gus has grown accustomed to the perils he faces on a daily basis. But now the zombies are disappearing, and a mysterious new threat is assembling—something even more relentless and terrifying than the roaming tides of dead flesh. And it’s preparing to hunt . . .

Hellifax: In a world overrun with zombies, Scott is hunting a remorseless killer who’s all too human. Following the murderer from Annapolis to the ice-glazed landscape of Halifax, Scott encounters half-frozen deadheads, infected vermin, and a few remaining survivors struggling to find safety. Welcome to Hellifax.

Completely Worth It

Great book. I really developed a fondness for each character. The author did a great job of making you "see" them.
Certain parts dragged on, but then he threw you back into the story.
One of my favorite books now.

Author and narrator...

...are a great match. The omnibus is a perfect, slow burn with unforgettable characters and great pacing throughout. Mr Bray brings everyone to life and never disappoints.

Amazing series

I have Over 700 titles in my library, and I can count the times I have left a review on one hand. This series is amazing but you have to finish it all. There are many times when I Did not think I can keep listening because the author did such a good job of bringing you into the experience.
This will create some anxiety and there's definitely a pucker factor but it's worth it in the end. Highly recommend.

Three to One Deal

I wanted to start off the New Year with a new series and I really wasn’t sure what to read. I decided to buy “The Mountain Man Omnibus” on blind faith because I wanted to be cheap and it had the first three books in one long audio file. It’s the best zombie series that I’ve read so far. I’m totally addicted to these books. There is lots of mindless action, good story and those rats, I can’t get enough of those rats.

If Audible didn’t offer a three to one deal, I would have bought these books separately. I really can’t wait to buy the fourth, fifth, and upcoming sixth additions to the series. I really hope R.C. Bray keeps reading these audiobooks because his tone of his voice makes the description of the words that much better. His vocal cords are perfect for these books.

Action that doesn't let up.

Books 1-3 of the Mountain Man series follow Gus and Scott as they attempt to live through the zombie pestilence. Keith Blackmore has created a very disturbing world where his characters are faced with not only zombies, but humans run amuck. These three stories were action packed as well as filled with elements that leave the reader with very raw emotions depending on the circumstances each character finds them selves dealing with. R.C. Bray’s narration makes this an audiobook that is near impossible to stop listening to until that very last page of book 3.

Shocked. Surprised. Rum?

Very well written. A great fit for the genre with some unique twists. The narration in this series was very well done. Once I started the series (omnibus) I couldn't stop until I was through. Adrenaline is a constant. So is alcohol - you'll know what I mean when you listen. Worth the credit. Worth a purchase.

Outstanding

I normally don’t care for zombies, Blackmore is awesome as a writer! R.C. Bray is a great narrator. Action throughout and the real monsters aren’t the zombies! Enjoy!
