About this listen

The best-selling comic series that inspired the blockbuster film returns with gruesome hilarity from the showrunner of AMC's Halt and Catch Fire and Hellboy's Patric Reynolds.

Years ago, a weird mask of unknown origin and limitless power was buried in the cement of an apartment building's basement floor. Edge City and its residents have all but forgotten the mysterious green-faced killer known only as "Big Head." But now, decades later, the bizarre Tex Avery-style killings are happening all over again and are on a collision course with a bizarre political campaign where a homicidal maniac wants to "Make America Green Again"!

Collects The Mask: I Pledge Allegiance to the Mask #1 - #4. Adapted from the issues and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music.

Gruesome, Funny, Relevant.

I'm a huge fan of the mask and absolutely loved this audio.

Even if you've never heard a thing about the mask you can probably enjoy this as a standalone story.

The performance and atmosphere was also extremely well done and was a pleasure to listen to both with headphones and through speakers.

Gruesomely,Glorious, and Over The Top

Had a great time listening to this and wish there was more. In a way it’s like listening to the final chapter of an on going story. They give enough backstory throughout your not completely lost but some Mask stories written before this one would be great.

Please do more of these for The Mask!

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this, and this is one of the weaker Mask stories. But the narration and voice acting made it so enjoyable! The voice for Big Head was awesome! I would love to see the same treatment for the older Mask comics. Please, Dark Horse, keep The Mask alive!

Definitely not like the Movie...

I knew that the Comic was a lot more gory and a lot less "Superhero" fair than the movie was but there was absolutely NOTHING good about the Mask (aka Big Head) in this. While funny (and somewhat obscene) No one who had gotten the Mask COULD use it for good, let alone was a good person without it.
This (for spoilers reasons) was clearly the END of the Mask saga so it was an odd choice to Start making GAs for MASK on this one, which happens 30 years after the original story but the past of the talked about a lot. Stanley Ipkiss is long dead and was a horrible person...
I definitely prefer the movie's world / idea where the MASK is basically kind of Neutral, it's just a power that can be used for good or evil and it depends on the wearer.
Here there is no mention of Loki, nor it only working at night. The Mask / Big Head is basically a fullout Demon that will eventually override the user completely.
Did enjoy the 4th wall breaks , even if everyone of them ended in Big Head telling the listener to "Go £@¢€ yourself!“
GA's audio production is always second to none, so the narration is great.
