Publisher's summary

"If you loved Big Little Lies and Little Fires Everywhere, allow me to introduce you to your next obsession. —Kim Liggett, New York Times bestselling author of The Grace Year

A tangled web of lies draws together three women in this explosive thriller of revenge, murder and shocking secrets

At an elite private school nestled in the Colorado mountains, Natalie, an office assistant, dreams of having a life like the school moms she deals with every day. Women like Brooke—a gorgeous heiress, ferociously loving mother and serial cheater—and Asha, an overprotective mom who suspects her husband of having an affair. Their fates are bound by the handsome assistant athletic director Nicholas, whom Natalie loves, Brooke wants and Asha needs.

But when two bodies are carried out of the school one morning, it seems the tension between mothers and daughters, rival lovers, and the haves and have-nots has shattered the surface of this isolated, affluent town—where people stop at nothing to get what they want.

Don't miss Annie Ward's other twisty and utterly original thriller, Beautiful Bad!

High School Drama

This book has all the angst, jealousy, presumed love and color as high school, here an affluent group. The Characterization of students, teachers and parents is rich with detail. Relationships between the above parties is intense giving Ms Ward's suspenseful novel a complex twist on womens sports.

Great read, I suggest her other books!

Overall really good story. Narrator was great!

I enjoyed this book. There were a few times where I thought that a character’s action were unrealistic. But, overall it kept my interest and I am glad to have listened to the book.

The narrator is excellent. Great voice and characterizations. Good plotting, stayed up too late listening.

More book than plot

So many books I’ve read lately seem to be padded with unnecessary pages. This had very little real plot but went on and on. Not well written either.

To the Lies

This was a very good listening experience. Suspense was high, the lies just flowed. Good example of what can happen to young athletes.

A light listen, but involving

I enjoyed this production. I listen while working and walking, so I have a hard time following plots that are too complicated. This was just perfect.

Big Little Lies only updated

I liked it. It was really suspenseful and realistic until the ending which was just a bit too much—-strained credulity. But… it was definitely satisfying and I’d recommend it. Great narrator. Many twists and turns. So grateful there was no school shooting. Too heartbreaking to use as a plot device.

Little chaotic but overall good story

I’m not gonna lie this was a little unorganized and chaotic. However. It had great characters and was a good story and kept me engaged. I look forward to seeing the authors future work as they grow
