Excellent!

I absolutely loved this book! I listen to 3-4 audiobooks a week while I work. I only write reviews on ones that really grip me, and this one did! I am still thinking about it even after reading two more since I finished it. It keeps you guessing and the twists and turns make it so you don’t want to stop listening! I love it when I find a book that is exciting and completely captures my attention. Well worth the credit spent!

Engaging!

Interesting story very well told. I have listened to every story narrated by Imogene Church-my favorite. iThis is by far the best story I have heard in a long time. Highly recommend.

Such a good ending

This book is full of badass women lifting each other up through so many different types of trauma and it literally had me cheering at the end - highly recommend!

Just push through the first few chapters

It was really slow and hard for me to get into this book/narration, until towards the end of the 7th chapter. After that, I really started enjoying it and in turn the narrator didn’t bother me near as much.

So yes, the reviews about narrators voices are true, but it got easier for me to listen to and I ended up really enjoying this book.

wow!! what a story!!

for starters anybody whoever wondered how talented Imogen Church is, this book sets her apart!! she superbly depicted a variety of characters characters, gender and accents all done perfect. she absolutely brings a book alive. and this book was fantastic!!! I couldn't put it down!

Twists and turns

You can’t put it down, exceptionally well written.
Only distraction is the British narrator who sometimes mispronounces words like Adirondack chair, otherwise it’s fantastic.
Great plot, interesting characters that you get involved in, twists and turns that keep you guessing. I couldn’t stop listening.

Better Than it Starts!

I almost didn’t get past the 1st chapter. The voice of Cora was too whiney and she was too pathetic to sympathize with. At first. Please believe me when I say that my ears forgave that 1st Chapter. It was worth going on!
I absolutely detest books that string the reader along with endless mulling over of “what can I do…” and “how can I?” and endless decisions to “.. not say what really happened…” Ms Glass hit on this thinking a couple of times; but miracle of miracles- She stopped! Either she instinctively knew to not go on and on, or her editor should be canonized.
Anyway, great book!I hope this review helps.

An enthusiastic good story!

So many complaints about the narrator. Yes she’s a bit over the top but I hear joy and enthusiasm in her voice. Give it a chance and you will find an enjoyable story and you may even hold your breath in fear and anticipation.

Good story

This book wasn't literary genius, but it was enjoyable and held my interest. The performances were also very good.

great read/listen

it drew me in from the very beginning. didn't want to stop listening. lots of plot twists and unexpected jumping out of my skin at different parts, as well as edge of your seat moments. highly recommend.
