An Amazon Charts Bestseller.

A novel of secrets, memory, family, and forgiveness by the bestselling author of When Never Comes.

Lizzy Moon never wanted Moon Girl Farm. Eight years ago, she left the land that nine generations of gifted healers had tended, determined to distance herself from the whispers about her family’s strange legacy. But when her beloved grandmother Althea dies, Lizzy must return and face the tragedy still hanging over the farm’s withered lavender fields: the unsolved murders of two young girls, and the cruel accusations that followed Althea to her grave.

Lizzy wants nothing more than to sell the farm and return to her life in New York, until she discovers a journal Althea left for her - a Book of Remembrances meant to help Lizzy embrace her own special gifts. When she reconnects with Andrew Greyson, one of the few in town who believed in Althea’s innocence, she resolves to clear her grandmother’s name.

But to do so, she’ll have to decide if she can accept her legacy and whether to follow in the footsteps of all the Moon women who came before her.

Love the narrator. Love the story. Lizzie tho, she cannot possibly be as naive or stupid as she is in this book. It is hard to listen to because her part is and idiot. She leaves her grandma who she loves and raised her. Doesn’t come back until she dies. Then just wants to get rid of her house. Finally digging into a murder. Bummer because I like the story, but not Lizzie the main character.

Lizzie’s character is tough to deal with

Delightful story with a pretty good twist. Full likable characters. A different take on the supernatural.

A good listen.

Very touching female storyline. Hope there is a sequel. Or perhaps a beginning one of earlier days.

Loved it!

The characters were very interesting and their relationships were complex, all of which made the story great But there was too much repetitive analysis that was a repeat and repeat and repeat. Therefore I'm not sure I would listen to another of her books.

A Good Story about Self Exploration

This was a good read it didn't have so much magic or fantasy, as I thought, would have but it had the right amount, at some point at did forget that there was that magical element but then a few chapters later I did understand and got aware again of it.

Lizzy is the last of the moon legacy, she returned to finally put her demons to rest and ever the ones who still lurking from her family, they had this weird tradition where the women of the family had this fantastic gifts that can help them but not everybody is kin to this kind of gifts, people around town keep gossiping and trying to cast away the last legacy of the moon family.

but some people are more than open to getting to know the moons, Andrew a friend and acquaintance from childhood that has been in love with Lizzy for many years now is only about time for them to finally reconnect and get to know a little better.

There is mystery, secrets, and a town full of questions, something happened that tainted the moon name now Lizzy is determined to know what really happened and whos fault really is.

Lizzy was a hard character to like, she wasn't complicated but I feel like she was too closed off and sometimes that really annoyed no matter how much the people around her try to get close she keeps pushing them away even at 90% she kept being guarded and that was kind of tiring.

The narrations by Sarah Mollo were amazing, she really brought so much to the characters and the story making it more believable and even strong..

Overall the story was good, I do feel like Lizzy needed more time to open up and even lower her walls, the last chapters were not enough for her to open, we were around 90% and she was still questioning too much but aside from that I really love the book.

Mystery, Secrets and Magic

This was just an ok listen for me. I had two main problems with this book. The first was that I really didn't like the main character very much. She seemed very selfish and whiny to me but she may not seem that way to you.
The second was that I kept thinking .....well that is what happened in such and such movie, over and over again. But, if you don't watch a lot of 80's romances you probably won't notice. 😊
I have a rule to always finish a book weather I am listening or reading it so in the end i was glad i have that rule.
Over all this is not a bad book to listen to while you get your work done, if it weren't for those two things it would of been pretty good.

didn't leave anything unanswered and that is good.

I enjoyed this book overall. The story was good, albeit a bit predictable. The narrator was limited, using the same basic voice for all the male characters. Her voice is also breathy--which works for the main character, but gets a little old for all the characters. The imagery is good, except Davis overuses some descriptions--how many times can you scrub your hand through your hair? But, I've over critical, I guess.

Good characters.

Loved the story and how it captured family, history, mystery, and love. It will leave you feeling hopeful and maybe even believing in a little Magick.
