Acerca de esta escucha

Illemitar Liminelda is the only elf anyone in the human territories of Middenheim has met in quite a while. Sure, there are a few Half-Elves around, but after the last war, even their kind had become a rare sight indeed.

But Lemmy, as his friends call him, is pretty well-integrated into the human world. As a seasoned adventurer, raised by humans, he never really questioned his origins all that much. That is, until Golariel, the reclusive High Elven Queen of the Silver Court reaches out to him in his dreams and tells him of a destiny much bigger and more exciting than anything he'd ever dreamt up on his own.

Can Lemmy help save his people from extinction and find love and adventure deep in Sylvan territory? Will he discover the truth of his own origins and what his future holds? And what is he going to do about the quirky Half-Elven priestess of Tellithri who keeps following him around?

you know thinking about being the last male anything is a terrifying thought but this book is off the chain between the action the adventure and the narration man it does not get any better than that plus you get all the books at one time for one credit a bang for your book

oh wow this is good

I loved this and wished there was more. This duology felt too short! If you like Harem Lit this story is for you!

Loved it!

These omnibuses are such a great deal. You get to catch up on the whole series for the price of a single book. So worth it

Great omnibus

Sometimes it’s just nice to enjoy a story you know is going to be okay with humor. Loved this so much!

Feel Good Story

I'm beginning to think that Knightley is keeping all his badly written books away from Audible.
Nobody can consistently write books I like, can they?
The characters are great.
The action and subterfuge works well.
The spicy action is enjoyable.
Written for men that yearn to be angst ridden, testosterone filled teens again and dream about being portaled to a situation like this.
I'm giving this book 8.5 out of 5 stars.

Awesome! As per usual.

This was rather good with only one or two somewhat small subplots remaining unanswered. Overall, it developed quickly but without feeling rushed or with overly shallow characters or plot, though it could also perhaps be said even more character backstory, world building and plot could have been built up if there were three books instead of two.

Though I’ll still say it also still feels a little better than the majority of similar fantasy harem stories. The narration was very well done, though, considering this oriented more towards men, I was initially a bit taken aback that the female narrator does most of the reading with the male narrator only performing for dialogue of the much fewer male characters. I still saw this as a welcome relief compared to a female narrator providing a somewhat awkward male voice though. That is definitely not unheard of in these harem audiobooks.

Now, I didn’t provide a full round of five star ratings because of what I first mentioned. This was very nice but I still have some minor complaints.

SPOILERS AHEAD.

Mainly, as I said, this was a reasonably detailed story but I still feel it could have been even more developed if the series was initially made into a trilogy. A good comparison would be to “Goblin Apocalypse”, a great harem trilogy that is, perhaps unusually, sci-fi themed instead of classical fantasy even though it features goblins.

I could go into more comparisons but this is getting longer than expected. Suffice to say, I believe the world building and perhaps especially major supporting characters like the elf queens and Gloomlord could have benefited quite well with just more details and known history.

This may be more of a personal complaint but I felt more information, history and epilogue would have been even more appreciated concerning the main initial harem members. A prime example would be Grinda being the only half elf, half goblin character kind of begged for more details; even more so because she’s the adoptive daughter of the elder fea Gloomlord. A pivotal scene shows that not even she knows why he treats her as a beloved daughter and is happy when it seems she may find out why, only for the subject to seemingly be forgotten and never even mentioned again.

I personally also would have enjoyed seeing some eventual intimate scenes between our main character and the Sun Elf princess (being an audiobook, I don’t know how to spell her unusual name). While mostly remaining an aloof character, the cute scenes where our main character breaks through her “defenses” and surprises her in some way or another were enjoyable but it struck me as a bit odd that there wasn’t at least a slightly rushed intimate scene to empower one of their most skilled fighters (simply put, pregnancy immediately magically boosts and protects female elves). Two other princesses get this treatment not a great amount of time after their introduction while the sun princess is only ever confirmed to get her “womb brand” in the epilogue scenes with not even a basic summary of the intimate scene with the stern warrior princess. That felt like a slight missed opportunity.

Lastly, considering the buildup throughout the story and the emotional battle, I felt the conclusion with the Necromancer was just a little bit rushed. While a good twist is entertaining, I still found myself hoping for a final scene between our main character and the Necromancer reminiscent of the final scene between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

Still, all things considered, I’d recommend you check out this somewhat short but fun harem fantasy.

A somewhat quick but reasonably nicely developed harem story

Imagine being strapped to a table and told youll be drugged and used as “breeding stock” and then after beating up your captors saying “i want to help you”

Thats the level of ridiculous this mc is. It doesnt get better the longer you listen. If you cant handle cringe its better yo go to an author with a better track record. This guy aint it

The worst thing about this is the main character

Se ha producido un error. Vuelve a intentarlo dentro de unos minutos.

The writing is subpar at best. The story is filled with inconsistencies, contradictions and plot holes. Important details are skipped by. The relationship between the MC and the first girl he meets is rushed and very loose only to later act as if she means so much to him it’s contradictory.

Inconsistent

It’s finally happened. A series by the author that I’m not completely happy with. Story very formulaic, but had some interesting twists, but not enough to keep things interesting. Spicy parts seemed a bit forced an uninspired. Most notable was the absence of the normal wit and laugh out loud humor that most of the authors book have.

Not Knightey’s best work
