I need to figure out how far I’m willing to go to protect this town. How far I’m willing to go with Jakob. Because if I fall for him, there’s no going back. No hope for a peaceful ending. But Jakob is the kind of man who makes me think that peaceful is overrated, and that descending into darkness with him could lead to something even better than a Happily Ever After.

Loved!

I loved this book! It’s my second MC book and my third military romance, and it was by far the best! I loved the attention to detail Navessa Allen gave to the military background and how it’s difficult for some to adjust back to civilian life. I also loved that she makes FMC not scaredy cats when finding out the truth and running at the first sign of conflict. I would say the only thing that made me eh about the book was the ending. I wish there was more to it but it was still a great way to end it!

great plot line!

I loved this story. All flowed together and tied up the loose ends . I would love to know what happened to the jokers though

Excellent Narration!

I LOVED this story! The narration was absolutely phenomenal and I was hooked right off the bat!

Never boring!! Need a 2nd one ASAP!

I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t bored during a steamy book. This one was amazing! I can’t wait for their story to continue!

A refreshing listen!

I’m so glad I bought this book! It’s refreshing to have a good mystery MC book with a military presence. I loved both MCs and their strong personalities. Their sexual chemistry was hot and the story was unique. I thoroughly enjoyed this! Narration was excellent!

Warning ..not the same

Do not expect 4th wing
You will be disappointed.
This is average writing. Average characters and Average storytelling. I was expecting something epic and fun.
However I didn’t DNF.
It was fine.

Could have been better

when you say DUET, it should be DUET. Not a one sided duet. You really didn't get to hear the side of the male character. It was like she would read, then he would jist him in with 4 words. You really didn't get to hear him completely til the epilog. And what kind of ending was that. I mean you get the jist of it. But still, it's like the author got tired of writing and jist ended the way she did. The book is really good. And the voices are awesome. But there should have been more of the male characters side of what he was thinking.

Great narrators !

I liked both the mmc and fmc and how they each had a military background. The duet narration was great. Good level of action and mystery but the ending seemed a bit rushed .

Action and romance with likable main characters

I read a lot of romance books, this one checked all the boxes. Great dramatic story, steamy scenes early on, no late breakup per se, and the military tie in was subtle but added depth that made this a page turner. I couldn’t put it down.
