When Arthur Clark, wage slave and bookworm, takes a bat to the head, he assumes his days of dreary counter minding are over. Instead, a dragon who calls herself a goddess gives him an offer he can't refuse. The job is simple on the surface, manage a store in an apocalyptic city and bring her currency to the people there. Upon arrival at his new home, he finds himself with little more than the clothes on his back and the equivalent of a child's lemonade stand.

Different experience/perspective from novel to audio
I really enjoyed the audio version of these chapters and found out I somehow missed the scrunchies story when reading the book. Also, the audio gave me a different perspective/feeling on Riley and how he’s treated in the story. I felt bad for all the characters equally when reading but I can’t help but feel especially sorry for Riley. It feels like he’s the ‘odd man’ out in his group after listening to the audio version but that may just be me. This book was totally worth an audible credit.

Wow what a ride
Never did a LitRPG book consume me like this one. Must read. Probably one of the best written stories out there.

Excellent plot, LitRPG progression system and narrator
I listen to a lot of LitRPG and found this to be one of the most unique in the genre. Excellent story, system, and narration makes this listen a winner.

another incredible addition to the series. I can't wait for the next one
this book is an incredible sequel. I enjoyed every minimum of it and cannot wait for it to continue. it had some incredible story arcs and grows the mystery of carousel even more 10/10 I highly recommend it and the first one and eagerly wait for more

A Great second book and addition to the series.
Im just so impressed everytime i get back to this series. The stories are always interesting and something completely new. While always staying true to the tropes, you never know what you will get and like any good horror story you know its coming, but still a suprise when it happens.

Story and Narrator are Superb!!!
