The Interview

This is a short novel about a man being questioned about a murder.As you go on there are twists and turns and it is like a 'Tales from the Crypt' type of story.I loved the creepiness! Jaicie Kilpatrick was ok at narrating.I think a male narrator would have been better.I was gifted this book for an honest review.

This is a very unusuall shortish (4 hours 20 mins) story , rather in the style and feel of "Tales of the unexpected"
This captured my interest right from the start ,but had no idea where the story would lead, I very much enjoyed the twists in the plot, and felt it had an ending that suited the story.

Great story, creepy, unique, surprising ending

What did you love best about The Interview?

This book was fun. The Interwies is a story about George, a 20-something typical guy with a few ocd tendencies who is arrested when a girl he is interested in is found murdered. The "interview" part, and the bulk of the story, is George's interaction during his interrogation, with female psychiatrist Dr. Williams. Along the way, details reveal a crazy twisted ending.

I loved Dr. Williams. Creepy soft-spoken voice.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Duplicity. Hapless George is maniulated by sweet Dr. Williams. Or is she manipulated by him?

Fascinating thriller!

I liked the story and found the whole premise really interesting, and scary. The reader was a little slow for me so I turned up the speed and it worked better for my listening fun. Story starts a tad slow and builds to an incredible ending twist. More for the Hichcock type horror fan.

No, this was my first.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The narrator had a nice voice, but needs a bit more practice. Sometimes she did not speak clearly.

Do you think The Interview needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It could go either way!

I received a copy of this audio book for free in exchange for an honest review. The story was good, but it needs a good editor. I felt that the language could be a bit more concise. I would definitely listen to, or read more book by this author.

Couldn't Close the Deal

I received this as a free Audible download in return for an honest review. This is a book that I thought started out strong. It created a real atmosphere, but it kind of lost its way as the story went on. The ending seemed disconnected from the story. The narration was good and fit the story.
