Too much violence against women

I enjoyed most of the story very much, but it started with a great deal of violence that I could have done without.

I loved this atmospheric offering from one of my new favorite authors!
Mena is on the run after being imprisoned and beaten by her cruel husband. After her friends help her escape, she lands in the employ and under the protection of the Demon Highlander. Is she safe in this cold Scottish keep with monsters around every corner? Steamy, eerie, suspenseful!
As always, Derek Perkins nails this audiobook!

break out the ice because this one is a hot one! loved it. it's in the thread of the mid 90s early 2000s style of sexy, smutty, tumultuous romance. will read again and again and again

Great listening

The 2nd book in the series and just as good as the first. Catches your interest immediately and hold it.

This one is my fav so far in the series. Derek did an amazing job and his Scottish accent was well enunciated.

The Demon Highlander, misunderstood, misjudged

Would you listen to The Highlander again? Why?

Yes, and I have. It is not as strong a story as the first two but is no less a story. There is not as much fear here. The action is a bit less. This is more a romance of the heart. A kind of beauty and the beast story. The helpless maiden meets the misunderstood beast. Through kindness and caring she takes him and finds her our hearts blood.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that the two heroes from book one and book two play an important part in helping this couple find each other. And that in end they all team up to put down evil.

A good book

Book 1 was very good bool 2 exceeded my expectations and although bool 3 was still good the increasing momentum of each book slightly declined a shade less than bool 1 but still good. If your noticing ratings ect you will notice they slightly decline with each book. I hope the fail stops because I do like the story lines, characters and writings of this new author. I will read book 4.
