Publisher's summary

“[An] exceptionally entertaining, superbly sexy love story that also freely embraces other important things in life, like friendship, family, and food.” Booklist

When Maggie's best friend admits he's in love with her, she'll have to decide whether it's worth giving up something good for something that could be amazing in this laugh-out-loud friends-to-lovers rom-com.

After a bad breakup, Maggie wants to find her Prince Charming, but all she’s finding are frogs. When her best friends, Savvy and Joan, apply pressure and demand she find a date worthy of attending their respective weddings, she agrees to take her own advice and try online dating. Since she's the maid of honor for both weddings, her bridal party duties are massive, but both brides insist that Maggie prioritize finding a date. After an onslaught of maybes, noes and hell noes, she’s close to giving up, when she meets a handsome doctor at the gym who just might be the one.

Meanwhile, her college bestie, Garrett, throws salt in everyone’s game. At every turn, he points out the red flags and tells Maggie to keep looking. Things come to a head when Maggie demands that Garrett be happy for her, and he finally admits that he can’t. Not when he’s not with her. When he blurts out his feelings, Maggie’s world is turned upside down. Now, she must choose between the perfect guy and a friendship that is the foundation for everything she’s ever wanted.

All and All, a good listen

i really enjoyed the narrator. She did an amazing job. The reason i gave the book 4s all across was that the box dragged a lot. That, a spent half thr book mad at the main character. She had an amazing guy in her corner yet spent way too much time trying to decide between him and a 3 minute brother who counted her calories.

Good summer read

The ladies had a really good friendship, and a lot of love for each other. I enjoyed the back and forth.

Cute Storyline

Sometimes we overlook the ones closest to us. I love the friendship of the girls. You need those different personalities especially in your 30s

No to Maggie

I had high hopes but gravely disappointed. Maggie sucks as a friend. Her behavior made the story not so good and it was difficult to finish listening to

Immature characters

The story had so much potential but I had to fight to finish this book. The characters were all 38 year old professionals but had the maturity level of those in their mid 20's. The writer didn't seem to know the difference between "dislikes" and serious red flags because that doctor was red flag central. Maggie was VERY self-centered and her friends gave the most immature advice. I STRUGGLED to finish but have issues with wasting money and a need to know... so, i finished. I won't intentionally pick another read from the same author. She tells a great story but seems to lack the ability to develop adult characters.
