Loved this book! It has now become my new favorite. Slow burn but well worth the wait.

This had so much potential

The storyline and narrator were on point. But overall it’s a 3.5. To be 28, Mimi is a bit immature. The continued conniption fits she threw had me wanting to ground her. She was rude in the coffee shop, she was rude on the trail, she was rude at home, she was just rude. And this story could have truly been great.

Awww! This was really sweet. Fake dating and living together to help each other out. Slowish burn chemistry, family that loves each other very deeply. Astronaut and space puns.

Loved the narration, this was a good mix of romance, gradual buildup of strangers to fake dating to actual friendship to feelings to love.

This was a really great novel! The narration left a little to be desired; however, I am definitely a new fan do this writer, and I hope she makes more!

Shooting for the Stars

This was such a refreshing listen. From the characters to the voice actor/actress I could not help but find myself smiling, laughing, and crying with the characters. The slight nods to things important to me growing up in Houston and references to universities that I have ties to or have attended l, this book brought me a lot of joy. Well done! I look forward to other offerings from this author and hopeful this voice actor!

Well developed characters. Relatable main character!

Perfect read into the New Year ! This is more than just a romance—it’s about Mimi’s growth and overcoming fear.
Mimi is relatable: strong-willed and passionate but overly cautious, ruled by fear of loss and change.
Vincent is Mimi’s opposite: adventurous, thrill-seeking, and passionate.
I related to her deeply, especially her willingness to put her family first, even at her own expense.
He’s a “cinnamon roll”—a genuinely good guy with a big heart who loves his family.
I will say, while Mimi’s POV was enjoyable, I wish we had Vincent’s perspective, too—it would’ve deepened our understanding of his character.

Underlying Theme

Overcoming fear and embracing change. It explores how personal growth, love, and the support of those around us can help us take risks and push past the barriers holding us back. Mimi’s journey is a testament to the courage it takes to step outside your comfort zone and embrace the unknown—both in love and life.

Love a good fake dating romance

This is a fun listen. The characters are relatable and I love that this book was family centered.

The Cabin Stay Made me feel all cozy

I loved this book and the characters (hopefully we get a sequel) I just wish the climax had been a little bit different is all.
