The Confederation has decided that Earth represents a significant danger to their future plans of Empire. A massive fleet is dispatched to destroy the Solar System and every Human on its planets, moons, and asteroids. If the Solar System falls, the fledging Human Empire will have no chance of survival.
Admiral Reynolds is tasked with defending the Solar System and preserving as many Human lives as possible. He knows he faces a nearly impossible task as he does not have the ships needed to stop the coming attack.
In the fledging Human Empire, High Princess Layla Starguard lays the groundwork for the future Empire. Every day the Confederation is seizing more Human worlds. It’s a race against time. Can the core worlds begin producing warships before the Confederation takes over all the Human worlds? Admiral Cleemorl and Admiral Masters are determined to do everything in their power to give the core worlds the time they need. The end of Raymonds best series!
Great as usual it's really to bad this is the end of all Raymond's books. I was a shocked hearing he past away a few weeks ago I always loved his books and this series could have been so great if he got a few more years. RIP Raymond and thank you for all your fantastic books!
