Insightful Commentary with a hopeful perspective

Our world is currently struggling with those of us who are egocentric, feel separate from others, and fear/hate those who are different than themselves. This commentary offered me hope. It showed how leading with love vs hate & fear is an age-old problem which can be solved with leaders who see us all as “interconnected and one” with our world and model that behavior.

Bible commentary helped me understand the evolution of the family that started with Adam & Eve and extended through Moses and the Ten Commandments. The author uses a unique lens to retell these stories which shows how, over centuries, the lords of the families who were consciously present to the world around them, led with love and a belief that we are all interconnected and one with our world were the ones who are historically the most esteemed—the basic theme of the book. This thought-provoking perspective helped me gain insight into the impact the Old Testament stories have on our current lives and how countries / regions of the Middle East evolved.

I particularly loved how the author explained the symbolism of seemingly preposterous old stories and the use of numbers to enhance meaning.
