About this listen

Hailey Dean is a young and tremendously successful criminal prosecutor in Georgia, equally proud of her career and her adoring fiance. But just a few weeks before the wedding, her fiance's murder and its aftermath send her into a tailspin. Grief-stricken and disillusioned with her profession, Hailey decides to leave Georgia for New York City; she hopes the change of pace and surroundings will help her heal.

Transplanted to a lively, vibrant city where she has no ties and no painful reminders, Hailey embarks on a new career as a therapist. But just when she's beginning to feel settled in her new life, another tidal wave of turmoil engulfs her: Someone is murdering her patients, one by one. And the killer operates in the same way as the victims of the last case Hailey prosecuted. Clearly, Hailey hasn't left her past behind quite as well as she thought - and unless she returns to her true calling and solves the case, still more innocent people will die.

Inspired by lawyer and television personality Nancy Grace's own beginnings as a prosecutor and the tragic death of her fiance, The Eleventh Victim is a compelling mystery full of intrigue that thrills from start to finish.

Not so much interested

I'm sorry to say it's so obvious she is not a fiction writer. There were so many repeating I guess to add words. The story itself wasn't interesting at all. I found no excitement. The name calling was kinda weird to listen to. Overall I don't think she is a good fiction writer. There didn't seem to be any main characters and going back and forth so much seemed strange. I doubt if I will listen to the new book when it's out.

Action, not plot

Little time is taken for character development. I wanted to care but it was all so focussed on moving forward that there was little time to engage with the string of terrible events presented with real engagement. Author need to slow down an tell us a more controlled story
Atlanta is presented sympathetically? But there is so much happening it it’s hard to notice or appreciate.

Wondering if fiction or biography of author

I enjoyed this book. I would really like to know if this was supposed to be paralleling the life of Nancy Grace of mostly fiction. It makes me wonder what was left out since this is abridged.

it's a good book

it's a good book but it bounces around a lot at the beginning and it's very hard to follow at the beginning. it starts to get really good around chapter 8 so just stick with it.

Great Book ,BORING READER

This is Nancy grace first fiction book. It is Not A page-turner Like James Patterson but it it a great story i can not wait for her next novel . It is sometime hard to follow the Abridged version of this novel she frequently jumps from one storyline to another .The two other problem whit the audible version ,first i do not understand why an author would agree to have an Abridged version of her book could you see yourself say wow i love your book but i just want to buy part of it !! It is a shame that an author or publisher would agree to sell only part of her new novel , i understand that it is not Random House Publishing it is Hyperion and they do not care about the customer just want cut corner. I did not enjoy Kate Mcintyre she is by far the most boring reader i almost fall a sleep she need to listen to Carolyn Mccormick or Peter J. Fernandez or even George Guidall those are Amazing reader. That could be a REASON WHY SHE IS NOT ON ANY BEST SELLER LIST.

Oh shucks...

All I can say is Nancy Grace could be reading this herself...the southern-drawl is over the top and becomes irritating early on. The story is okay.

Eleventh Victim

Disappointed, story seemed to lack details and the ending was abrupt, leaving unanswered questions.
