About this listen

Your favorite Dwellers and Country Saga characters come together in this epic seventh book!

As President Borg Lecter threatens to annihilate the Country tribes in order to expand his glass-domed empire, Adele ventures into the belly of the beast. Her only hope of survival is the consolidation of Dwellers and Country power before it's too late.

Former demagogue President Nailin is eliminated, yet civil unrest infects every alliance. To save Adele, President Tristan faces his greatest challenge yet: unifying unfriendly Dwellers in the Tri-Realms to raise an army against Lecter. Meanwhile, Dazz must convince the Ice Country leaders to march with Siena and the Tri-Tribes on the gates of the Glass City.

The world sits on the edge of a knife. Will Adele, Tristan, Dazz, and Siena defeat Lecter and his army of killers before the Glassies wipe them off the face of the Earth?

The Earth Dwellers is the fourth book in both The Dwellers Saga and The Country Saga. The author recommends that both series are heard in their entirety before listening to this book.

Good end to two good book series

Usually don't leave reviews but I've waited so long to listen to this book. I wanted to listen to the country series before I listened to earth dwellers and I'm very glad I did.

The dweller series in my opinion is a big 5 stars I really enjoyed the characters and story in that series. The country series I'd give a 3.5 stars. The first two books were good and made sense but the 3rd water and storm country made absolutely no sense being apart of these two book series. All the sudden there's a bit of magic and a future reader it was all just very out of place and had very little to do with the earth dwellers book. It Was def a book made to drag out that series because the story and characters of water and storm country are very different then the other 5 books. Other then that I love the two different series coming together in earth dwellers i enjoyed both and would recommend them to anyone.

I could have kept listening forever! both the series were awesome, and I was really sad to listen to this book because it meant it was almost the end of the series.

Perfect ending to the saga!

Loved this! Tied all the great stories together! No punches were thrown. Seriously worth the listen. Cried, laughed, and cheered. All these stories combined with this final book would make an awesome movie!

Very Satisfying Ending to an Epic Series!

I just marathon listened to the new audiobooks of the Country Saga and the 7th and final book to both The Dwellers and the Country trilogies, The Earth Dwellers. The cast of narrators read like an all-star cast for me and several are in my top 5 list of performers. The new to me performers are now new favorites and they all really did an amazing job with this book! I've read this book in print and being able to listen to it this time around was a wonderful new experience!

From my original review of the print version:
*Big sigh* Wow! Amazing! Everything I thought I would get from David Estes to complete his Dwellers Saga and Country Saga and much, MUCH more. I read this book knowing it would be bittersweet as I said goodbye to my beloved characters that have come to mean so much to me. What a journey!

Although there were many hilarious, laugh-out-loud parts to this book, many of my moments reading entailed tears leaking out of my eyes constantly and uncontrollably. There were a few giant sobs, but there were several chapters where the tears quietly ran down my cheeks throughout. The emotions were all there as is usual with Estes, but saying goodbye to each character was as sad as I knew it had to be.

My absolute favorite character was back – Perry!! And the wit and sarcasm by and about Perry made me just want to squish him all over (to my detriment!). Roc and Tristan’s banter was hysterical as always. But. The. Best. Was – the conversations between Siena and Roc and Tristan! The twists and turns of this book had me gasping. There were so many things that I did NOT see coming, another aspect I love in Estes’ books.

The series ended with me as the reader being utterly content and satisfied. I couldn’t have asked for anything better and I can sleep well now knowing how Siena, Circ, Adele, Tristan, Roc, Tawni and all the others will fare in their future.

Siena and Friends

Great ending to the series. I truly hope we have not seen the last of Siena (and Perry). At the beginning of Fire Country, I was so put off by the hillbilly ascent that almost didn't continue with the book. It only took a few chapters for me totally fall in love with Siena. Ms. Hvam's performance was amazing! She brought Siena to life. I laughed at her euphemisms and my heart broke every time her's broke. Bold, sassy and comical but gut wrenchingly tender in all the right spots. My heart leapt when I saw Ms. Hvam's name on the cover of Water and Storm Country and again on this title. The other actors are great as well but Ms. Hvam's performance stands out and is by far the most personal.

This story broke my heart with all personal losses especially to the gang from Fire Country saving the series from being a true buddy story like Spenser and Hawk in the Spenser for Hire series.

Bravo for a great ending that was neat and tidy without going Brady Bunch. Can we say movie?

just finished the dweller books and now I guess it's,time for the country ones. I really love listening to Julia Wheland and she narrates Adells part. I really liked this book more than I thought I would especially this one. Tristan is amazing!

Beautiful.

This was a beautiful ending to tie both Country Saga and The Dweller Saga together. It touched on real world problems like racism, classism, a bit of sexism, and genocide . But I'm glad that the female characters are just as strong as the male characters.

Great End to a Fantastic Series

I really enjoyed the final book in the 2 part Saga. Everything was knit closed nicely and a few twists I didn't expect. I loved that the story was brought to life by all the main character's in the saga, which allowed the reader to stay engaged as each chapter was a different POV for the current situation. My absolute favorite part was the final chapter. Estes could have ended it the chapter before, but the final chapter cleared up all questions and gave a final bow to all characters.

I am thankful all the narrators throughout the 2 saga's returned as well. It allowed the story to maintain its seamless quality.

Overall, like I said in the title, a great end to a fantastic series. Well done Estes.

I would recommend this book to all.
