Gwinny Tuffel is preparing for her first acting role in a decade in the West End, but she is dog-sitting on the side to keep the wolf from the door. So, when ageing rock star Crash Double needs help with his Border Collie, she jumps at the chance. After all, looking after the charming Ace on Crash's Little Venice houseboat shouldn't be an onerous task. But that's before the singer's dead body surfaces during the annual Canal Carnival festivities. While the police dismiss the death as an accident, Gwinny suspects murder most foul. Great Book, Good Mystery
This is the second book in the series, but you can start here as it could be read as a stand alone. As I said in the review of the first book, this writing is much better than the usual cozy formula series that are not as sophisticated in writing style as this author is. I had not heard of Antony Johnston but with a little research discovered he is an extremely accomplished author, explains why this series is great.

Fun Sequel
The narration is fantastic. Fun follow up to the first book. The Dog Sitter solves the case again with the help of a furry sidekick.
